An MQ-9 combat drone of the United States-led coalition made a dangerous approach towards a Russian Su-35 fighter jet over the southeastern Syrian area of al-Tanf, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, revealed on August 26.

“On August 25, at 17:35, in al-Tanf area, a coalition MQ-9 reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle dangerously approached a Su-35 warplane, which was making a planned flight along the southern border of Syria. The Russian pilot, demonstrating high professionalism, took necessary measures in a timely manner to prevent collision,” the commander said during a briefing.

Kulit reported more than a dozen other violations of Syria airspace by U.S.-led coalition fighter jets and drones over al-Tanf.

“In the Al-Tanf region, we registered 17 violations per day by four pairs of F-35 fighters, a pair of F-16 fighters, two pairs of Typhoon fighters and three coalition multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles MQ-1C,” he said.

According to the commander, there were also 11 cases of violations of the deconfliction protocols by coalition drones which carried out flights over Syria without coordinating with the Russian military group in the country.

“The aviation of the so-called international anti-terrorist coalition led by the U.S. continues to create dangerous situations in the skies of Syria, carrying out flights in violation of deconflict protocols and in violation of Syrian airspace,” Kulit concluded.

The U.S.-led coalition expanded its aerial operations over Syria in the last two months which created unprecedented tensions with the Russian side. Earlier this week, Russian Su-35 fighter jets were harassed by F-16 and F-35 warplanes of the coalition in Syria airspace on two occasions.

It’s worth noting that U.S.-led operations in Syria, which are allegedly directed against ISIS, are not authorized by the country’s government who consider the coalition to be an occupation force.

Russia has already warned that the coalition’s provocative behavior in Syria airspace could eventually lead to serious accidents.

it seems syria doesn’t belong to the syrians anymore. too many foreign fighters. how truthful the hadith of prophet muhammad saws. i don’t understand why syria is so important to the u.s. that it’s risking a war with russia and even turkiye.

i’ve published a couple new articles on my blog for those interested to read. http://islam4life.info/blog/
