U.S. Embassy Employe Brought Mortar Shell To Moscow's Main Airport. Terrorist Attack Attempt Or Idiocy?

On March 9, security forces at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport discovered “an object resembling a mortar shell with a fuse” in the luggage of a US Embassy employee departing to London. The situation caused an alert and a bomb squad was called in. After the further research on the secen, it emerged that the mortar shell had no explosive compound inside with only small traces of a blasting agent remained on its surface. Despite the incident, the US citizen used his diplomatic immunity to depart to London.

In turn, the US citizen explained the situation by claiming he bought an empty mortar shell without an explosive compound for his “private collection.” This verion was later supported by the US State Department.

The Russian Foreign Ministry described the incident was a “provocation” and demanded explanations. The foreign ministry emphasized that taking into account the security measures employed by the US since 2001, it’s hard to imagine that the embassy employee did not understand what he was doing. The ministry pointed out that the US may have tried to test security measures by this attempt.

Some experts voiced concern that the incident may have been a part of preparations for a terrorist attack in the airport. In the event of a successful delivery of “a mortar shell with a fuse” to the area, it would be much less complicated to deliver an explosive compound and stage an attack in the airport.

At the same time, if the version about the “private collection” is the truth, this move is just a clear example of idiocy and the further fall of professional competence of employees of US embassies. In fact, the US intelligence and diplomatic community has been discussing the ongoing fall of professinalism and erudition of US duplomats and embassy employees for some time already. This issue is especially obvious for non-Arabic regions. Since the fall of the USSR, the Middle East has been the most interesting and money-making direction for ‘young diplomats’. Therefore, a majority most of the high potential staff was involved in operations and activities in this direction. China is the second-priority directions. In own turn, embassies in Russia and European states were bolstered by a leftover principle.

This is testing of Russian scaning systems by high rated diplomats. This the people who protect hose nation and native country. He wanted to use his diplomatic immunity to bypassing security systems. He knows he must declare. What a USA NATO embarrassment and shame from the whole world.

d'Artagnan

US diplomats are not the smartest people around as US failed foreign policy attests to.

Garga

There’s another explanation. It can be a provocative measure to force the Russians into declaring the said “diplomat” persona non grata and expel him, so the US can retaliate and expel a Russian diplomat they’re really itching to send home and at the same time, play innocent and point finger to “Russian Aggression™”.

Any real diplomat or a weapon enthusiast would know that such things need to be declared in advance, unless there’s malign intentions at work.

Amir

Russian Federation should publish the name and picture of “The Idiot” thus allowing other foreign governments to proactively designate him as persona non-grata or if at the very least keep an eye on the fool.

Americans are not exactly known being highly intelligent, Don’t believe me? look at their current leadership Trump, Pence, Pompeo, Bolton what does that tell you!!

Carol Davidek-Waller

Don’t blame the American people for low quality of its leadership. The plutocrats decide who runs and their voting machines decide who wins. The largest political party are non voters.

John Wallace

You mean those that pledge allegiance to Israel get funding to win while that don’t get discredited and all sorts of interference so that they lose.

Marko

” Don’t blame the American people for low quality of its leadership. The plutocrats decide who runs and their voting machines decide who wins. ‘

That’s right , and the American people are rightly furious about it. That’s why they’ve been out on the streets protesting every Saturday , for years , not just months like those wimpy Yellow Vests in France.

Oh , wait……

On second thought , blame the American people. They’re brain-dead , obviously.

Sinbad2

Serfs to the bitter end.

John Wallace

The alternative was Clinton H , ? , Pompeo , Bolton. What does that tell you.

Sinbad2

No, you could have voted for Jill Stein. The idea that there can only be 2 political parties is a prison you create in your mind.

John Wallace

No sorry i couldn’t vote for any of them but the point I was trying to make was that it didn’t matter who you voted for you ended up with the same. Two faces on different sides of the same coin. It is an illusion you get a choice to keep the plebs happy and distracted. RT was the only major platform that allowed Jill Stein and others somewhere to speak and without Saudi or Israeli money little to no chance of election.

Neither terrorist attack attempt nor idiocy, but a false flag attempt. Had the guy gone through to the US with piece of scrap, it would have been “discovered” by US customs. The depraved US government, with its triumvirate of psychopaths, would have pointed the finger at Russia immediately and clamoured for blood.

ColinNZ

“Terrorist Attack Attempt Or Idiocy?”

Given the exceptionalist proficiency at terrorism and idiocy, could be either or both.

Carol Davidek-Waller

Prop for another false flag attack.

Zionism = EVIL

In reality a dumbass Americunt “diplomat” is a terrorist in a ill-fitting made in China cheap suit.

Sinbad2

Are American diplomatic staff really that stupid?
