U.S. Forces Conduct Air Landing Operation To Arrest ISIS Members In Deir Ezzor, Raqqa

On Match 8, an air assault unit of U.S. forces arrested several ISIS members in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa province. The unit was reportedly assisted by several U.S. helicopters.

The first security operation took place in the area of al-Azbah in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the local Deir Ezzor 24 blog. Several members of ISIS cells were arrested during the operation.

“The landing operation targeted cells and members of ISIS,” Deir Ezzor quoted a local source as saying.

Few hours later, U.S. forces carried out a second security operation in the city of Tabqah in western Raqqa. The Euphrates Post blog said that three men named Mohammed al-Maraj, Ahmad al-Maraj and Uday Issa al-Awad were captured in the operation.

According to the available information, these men are explosive experts and commanders of ISIS cells in Tabqah and the region around it.

ISIS cells stepped up their attacks in the US-occupied part of northeastern Syria in the last few months. Few hours after the operations in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa, a suicide bomber of the terrorist group targeted two vehicles of U.S. forces near the city of Manbij.

The US-led coalition and its proxies, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), will likely take additional security measure to counter ISIS cells in the upcoming few weeks.

verner

yep, arresting another euphemism for evacuating loyal isis workers to another ‘safe heaven’ like afghanistan where they soon will turn up on the borders of uzbekistan, turkmenistan und zu weiter. the president of turkmenistan or was it uzbekistan, have a penchant for oil so they might find themselves being cooked in oil, which is sort of a tradition on those parts of the world. but rest assured that moronistan (aka usa) is looking to cause trouble in the countries bordering afghanistan.
