On October 23, the U.S.-led coalition announced that its forces in northeastern Syria had conducted a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) operational rehearsal.
The coalition said on Twitter that the rehearsal, which took place in Deir Ezzor, was meant to maintain crew proficiency and readiness.
The M142 HIMARS multiple launch system can fire ER-MLRS unguided rockets with a range of 45 kilometers, GMLRS precision-guided rockets with a range of 70 kilometers and the MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missile that has a range of up to 300 kilometers.

The rehearsal was likely held at the coalition’s Green Village base within al-Omar oil fields in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Late on October 22, local sources in the governorate reported the launch of several projectiles of the base. Several explosions were also heard at the time.
The U.S.-led coalition deployed several HIMARS systems in Syria years ago, allegedly to support the war on ISIS. However, the systems were previously situated at al-Tanf garrison in Syria’s southeastern region.
The live-fire rehearsal was likely meant as a warning to Iranian-backed forces in northeastern Syria, who attacked several bases of the U.S.-led coalition in the last few months, and as a message to the Russian military that maintains a large presence in the region.
If Iran manages to get Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani to have US bases in iraq vacated, then its game over for US froces in Suria.
The problem is that most Iraqi Shiites people do not get along with Iranian ones and support Kurds and Ameriscums to destabilize Iran.
How can a communist group join forces with American capitalists? Either they are fake communists or they did never read The Communist Manifesto. Russia and Assad should withdraw from Northern Syria and let Erdogan make a clean sweep of these hypocrites.
All Communists were allways fake besides those who just wrote books and had no power. Lenin was a agent of the banking cartels with the job to take down the tzar and kill as many russians as possible to punish them for not bending the knee.
Most others like Stalin just used communism as a pretext to legitimise their rule. China is more a one party state capitalist country then communist and the US and EU are more oligarchys who hide behind multiparty systems who are funded by the oligarchs and do their bidding. Russia is a more visible oligarchy you can see that Putin has multiple times hesitated to do things causes the oligarchs feard it woul cost them money and take opportunities away.
It’s just about selling it to the people thats all.
It seems to me like Russia and Turkey has many converging interests in Syria apart from territorial integrity. They both want the U.S out. Çavuşoğlu has said it several times that the U.S should leave Syria.
While Turkey wants to help Assad regain control of all of Syria under one leadership, Turkey also wants to secure some greater role for the opposition. But Assad doesn’t want to reach an agreement with the opposition. Secondly, Assad has personal grudges against Erdogan for supporting the revolt against him. But this isn’t the time to get personal. It’s about dealing with the American threat to all Muslims of the Middle East, Syria inclusive.
If Russia and Assad were to withdraw their support for the Kurds and let Erdogan deal with that problem, it would be much more difficult for America to achieve its objectives in Syria.
No one in Moscow or Damascus doubts the fact that Turkey doesn’t have any territorial desires on Syria. Assad can help Erdogan withdraw from Syria by making some compromises to the opposition. That’s it. If he insists on a totalitarian dictatorial rule, then his recent gains will likely be reversed when the U.S launches a second Syrian civil war. Because Turkey will not be on the side of Assad then. At the present moment, Erdogan is on the side of Assad, but he needs some concessions for the opposition.
Cheap Iranian drones will beat expensive American HIMARS.
For the sole reason that the iranians will not hesitate to use them against murricans.
The Russian army should just bomb the tankers the americans use to steal Syrian oil. There’s literaly no reason to, the americans can’t defend them because there’s just not enough of them there, everyone knows this. If they can’t steal the oil anymore there’s no reason for them to be there anymore and they’ll be withdrawn by the accountants who decide which pentagon looting operations are profitable and which are not.
You think Syria’s oil is the only way to finance America’s wars there? You are mistaken. The U.S never hesitates to spend billions from state coffers on wars.
Russia is outgunned by the U.S in Syria. Many U.S bases in the Middle East have planes, soldiers, and equipment that can reach Syria in a matter or minutes or hours.
If Putin succeeds in winning Erdogan’s support against the Americans in Syria, he will likely be able to deal with the U.S threat there.
