U.S.-led Coalition Announces Dozens Of Airstrikes On ISIS Remnants In Iraq, Syria

Click to see full-size image, By the Official Twitter account of the International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve.

The U.S.-led coalition announced on September 4 that it had carried out dozens of airstrikes on ISIS remnants in Iraq and Syria in the period from August 1 to August 31.

In an official statement, the coalition said its units had carried out 24 strikes against the terrorist group in Iraq, destroying 12 tunnels, 10 fighting positions, 3 bed-down locations, 2 buildings, a vehicle, a boat, and a trench.

U.S.-led coalition units also carried out 2 strikes targeting 6 ISIS tactical units in an unspecified part of Syria.

“CJTF-OIR [Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve] remains committed to the enduring defeat of Daesh [ISIS] to improve conditions for peace and stability in the region and to protect all our homelands from the Daesh terrorist threat,” the coalition’s statement reads.

The U.S.-led coalition is operating in Iraq in cooperation with the country’s Federal Government. However, on the other side the coalition is supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which occupies the northeastern part of Syria.

This high number of airstrikes during August confirms that ISIS remains a threat to Iraq and Syria, even if on a much lower scale than it was a few years ago.

with Idlib freed the Americans have no more justifications for remaining still in Syria. Then they must resurrect ghosts and invent false reasons.

klove and light

Then they must resurrect ghosts and invent false reasons.

so they will……who will stop them??seriously??? int´l community??? lol U.N ??? LOL

Tiresia Branding

no, something like this: https://www.petroleum-economist.com/articles/politics-economics/middle-east/2019/china-and-iran-flesh-out-strategic-partnership

dutchnational

There are no US military in Idlib. On the other hand there are in Rojava and US can claim those must remain because of the safe zone deal with Turkey and because of IS there.

Tiresia Branding

there are (their) last(official) terrorists in Idlib, so when they’ll be cleansed, Americans must go. How to justify their outlaw presence in Syria? Resuming ISIS from their graves. The SAA will go to retake all the lands and oil camps SDF had stolen under US umbrella

dutchnational

Plain BS.

Tiresia Branding

what a gentleman… see you later in Raqqa

Willing Conscience (The Truths

That safe zone proposal is just about dead in the water, Turkish news keeps reporting Erdogan about to take matters into his own hands due to lack of US compliance, the Turks and US are becoming [mildly] openly hostile towards one another now due to their differences over it.

Brother Ma

The Yankers and Gobblegobbles will make up excuses to stay there which is why you don’t trust or believe them ever. Syria ,Russia and Iran need to rain fire and steel on them to chase the rats out.

If you want peace …prepare for war!

You can call me Al

How many fighter jets were there in Sun Tzu’s days + how many c**t like the USA did he come against ?.

No offence intended.

Tiresia Branding

the best question is “how many fiat money were there in Sun Tzu’s days?” the China-Iran deal is an epocal hit to the petrodollar. No dollars=not only no jets but even no Israel, no US bases everywhere, no wahabism no “terrorism”, no colored revolutions, and so on … or, obviously, an all in hot war. But I’m an optimist by nature; western economic and financial systems are on the brink of collapse

gustavo

Really ? We would like to see evidences about it, of course.

Does anyone with IT skills know why I have to log into this site every bloody time now ?.

Now as for the above article, they are eliminating any possibility that their own paise whore terrorists will snitch on them; vile, despicable Yanks.

Go to northern Idlib and do some bombing there, and really close to the Turkish border too, the mad jihadists are all congregating together up there and they’d make easy targets, and since the Russians aren’t bombing them anymore due to the ceasefire, I don’t see why the US can’t take a turn now. I really don’t think Assad would be too upset if the US continued attacking the mad Jihadist in northern Idlib, it’s helping his cause the most anyway, scaring the local anti Assad population and making them think about making the trip north to Turkey doesn’t actually harm his cause at all, it only benefits it, but it does harm Turkey’s interests every single time the US bombs the Turkish proxies in Idlib, BAD LUCK. How could Assad be upset by that, especially at the very start of a ceasefire he didn’t want or need, I don’t think he’s too upset at all to be honest, and I’d also suspect perhaps even begrudgingly grateful. Come on Russia, the NFL just broke the ceasefire by attacking your base with drones, do something about it, assassination squads won’t stop them sending more drones, forcing them to flee north would though, and only airstrikes are going to do that.

Brother Ma

I agree. Come on US ,bomb more turco alphabet/ isis cockroaches. I know they were your buddies before but things changed and you got caught and found out. So come on ! Get rid of the evidence. Bomb them to the Turco border and keep going! It helps loyal Syrians and gets rid of rubbish like rain takes the street cigarette butts and macdonald’s drink cups .

Then send ships to Turkish Regime ports to take the rats and settle them in your leafy -s treet cities because they are all nice people and you love them . You know …”moderate”.

Tommy Jensen

When US is “bombing ISIS”, it usually means US is bombing Syrian schools, hospitals, water supply, sewage treatment and villages to break the resistance will of the population. After the bombings, US will collect the ISIS commanders in helicopters to another place of engagement.

Uncle Meat

Lol you’re a riot, Tommy! Oh wait.. No satire this instance, I’m afraid. I can’t understand how this all takes place in broad daylight.

Icarus Tanović

They’re pretending that they’re doing sowmthing and going somewhere. You US, have lost all credibility. This is just smoke screen, ISIS is your product, from Obama and this is operation of liquidating nasty witnesses, that witnessed your crimes. Your interventions never led to anything good, now entire World is burning in flames of your democracy, ‘human rights’ and freedom of speach. Go to hell.

goingbrokes

While it is doubtful exactly what is being bombed, it needs to be understood that some jihadi elements was never committed to go to the bitter end. They may want to go home! The main player cannot allow the proxies to stop or even worse, switch sides, so the insurance against this always was the “coalition-of-the-damned” air force. US was bombing in Idlib just recently. Many jihadists want to stop, perhaps, but they are not allowed to do so. Bombs away.
