U.S. National Security Advisor Met With His Russian Counterpart In Geneva

On August 23, U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton said that the meeting with his counterpart Nikolai Patrushev in Geneva witnessed a great progress and revealed that many communication channels between Washington and Moscow will be reopened.

“I think we made a lot of progress, we identified certain areas where lines of communication could be restored and more work done by the affected agencies – State Department, Defense Department, other agencies as well,” Bolton said during a press conference after the meeting with Patrushev, according to the Reuters news agency.

Bolton added that the Iranian military presence in Syria was discussed during the meeting with Patrushev and said that both sides are considering steps to solve this issue. However, the U.S. National Security Advisor said that the Russians don’t think that an Iranian withdrawal from Syria is possible now.

“Our objective is that all Iranian forces return to Iran … And we talked about a variety of ways in which it might be accomplished through a series of steps,” Bolton said.

From his side, Patrushev said that Russia put forward specific initiatives on each of the issues raised during the meeting concerning cooperation between Russia and the US.

“The issue at hand is practical steps that both countries could take to increase mutual understanding on major international security problems and in bilateral relations,” Patrushev said during a separate press conference, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

Russia’s National Security Advisor also revealed that he had invited Boloton to a new round of talks in Russia. However, the date of the new round has not been agreed on yet.

A day earlier, Bolton claimed that Russia is Russia is “struck” in Syria. The statement triggered a response from Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who said that all foreign forces staying in Syria without an invitation from the Damascus government must leave the country clearly meaning troops of the US-led coalition.

I think talking to Bolton is a waste of time. He needs to take his meds and be lucid and live in the real world.

What’s the use of making any agreements with Bolton, for they have never kept any agreements and won’t change anytime in the near future>>>

This is what I’m in favor of, a UN mandated force to protect the Palestinian population. If Israel refuses to cooperate. Their UN membership should be suspended or revoked and given to Palestine. And military operations to clear the IDF and Israeli government out of the occupied territories commenced. From the UNSG report:

“(d) Physical protection: the United Nations, if mandated to do so, could deploy armed military or police forces to act as a deterrent and, if necessary, to ensure the safety of the civilian population. Alternatively, instead of establishing a dedicated United Nations mission, groups of like-minded Member States operating under a United Nations mandate could provide physical protection.

4. For each of these options to be viable, the cooperation of the parties, a sustained cessation of hostilities and additional resources would be necessary. In addition, in the case of the physical protection option, a United Nations mandate would be required, as it would be if the civilian observer mission took the form of a United Nations mission.”

It looks to me like USGA Resolution 377A proceedings are in motion for overriding the US UNSC veto and issuing a UN mandate that can be used for a Palestinian Protection Force to clear the IDF and and Israeli government out of the occupied territories. Doing this in conjunction with the reclamation of Shebaa Farms and the occupied Golan would be helpful.

“The tenth emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly centers on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict: the ongoing dispute and conflict over the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The session was first convened in 1997 under the president of the General Assembly, Razali Ismail of Malaysia. This occurred when the Security Council failed to make a decision on the issue at two different meetings. The session remains adjourned. …

… if the Security Council, because of lack of unanimity of the permanent members, fails to exercise its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security in any case where there appears to be a threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression, the General Assembly shall consider the matter immediately with a view to making appropriate recommendations to Members for collective measures, including in the case of a breach of the peace or act of aggression the use of armed force when necessary, to maintain or restore international peace and security.”

Most Americans are probably going to support UN mandated clearing operations removing the IDF and Israeli government from the occupied territories, and oppose US intervention on Israel’s behalf:

“Some 80.8 percent of Americans oppose the $38 billion in “aid” that the Jewish lobby-controlled U.S. Government last week pledged to Israel, an IRmep poll fielded by Google Consumer Surveys has found.

At the same time, the Jewish lobby will pour money into campaign funds of politicians who support this “aid” package, while the controlled media will demonize any candidate for office who dares to oppose it.”

Bonkers talked to a Russian?… splutter… cough… COLLUSION!!!!!!!!!

When you listen to people like BoltOn, you start to realize that the only solution is the depopulation of the USA. The USA was an experiment that went terrible wrong, and needs to be terminated.

Ma_Laoshi

I understand that there are certain things which Russia simply has to swallow given how much stronger the US is, but this cravenness makes one doubt whether Russia deserves any better. The US is waging out-and-out economic warfare trying to destroy Russia and oh they’ve murdered your general, and all the Kremlin can think to do in response is discuss how to further American objectives in Syria, where the orcs have no business being in the first place. And all this while Russia has potent leverage, for they could say “Israel will lose the Golan and some nasty things will happen to them at home, unless you make it worth our while to prevent it”. But no, Russia tries to compete with Uncle Sam about who loves the Israel the most. What do they think–that they can please Bolton? He hates the entire world, so he hated Russia yesterday and he’ll surely hate Russia tomorrow. After all, he hasn’t been given any serious incentive to tone it down. Iran’s position seems clear in comparison: they neither need nor seek jewish permission to defend both themselves and their Syrian ally. In that way, at a minimum they don’t embolden the hegemon to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong.
