On March 25, US President Donald Trump signed a proclamation recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The area was seized from Syria during the 1967 Six-Day War.
In a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump hailed the “powerful” relationships between the US and Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister called the signing “historic justice” and a “diplomatic victory.”

Syria already reacted to this event by describing it as an attack on its sovereignty and territorial integiry.
According to experts, the US move will lead to a further growth of tensions in the Middle East.
Furthermore, this decision came amid reports that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have resumed strikes on the Gaza Strip. The strikes came in response to an earlier event in which a rocket launched from the Gaza Strip destroyed a house near Tel Aviv. The incident prompted Netanyahu to cut his trip to the US short. Returning to Israel, Netanyahu vowed to respond “forcefully.”
US President Trump also lent his support to the Israeli strikes, recognizing Israel’s “right to defend itself.”

As far as air defense goes in Syria, it is all under one central command which is Russian so an attack on air defenses technically could be viewed as a direct attack on Russia. israel regularly use civilian aircraft as cover still, and this is impeding russian dominance.
i do agree that Russia does have the upper hand against Israel. but with USA support any attacks on the s-300 or s-400’s is susceptible to being overpowered by numbers and running out of ammunition and getting whacked between reloads. Extremely expensive for USA but possible

The timing is coincidental, but IMO the war in Gaza won’t be Arab v Israeli, but Arab v Arab. They’re an organization that has an identical ideology to Hamas, but have their own commanders. 4) The most recent attacks have neither been in reaction to anything, nor is anyone eager to take credit. This is highly unusual for Palestinian groups, as their organizations typically boast their accomplishments in order to gain grassroots support and foreign backers. The theory I have for this recent round of fighting is that a war is brewing on the streets of Gaza. IJ and their friends inside Hamas have been launching these attacks to A) thwart negotiation and ensure Hamas keeps fighting, B) gain grassroots support by word of mouth, and C) provoke retaliatory strikes with which IJ can incentivize all Gazans to fight for them. That last bit is important, because if Hamas joins in the fighting then Hamas is effectively taking orders from IJ, whereas if they don’t then Hamas will be branded traitors and would be ousted from power. Listen carefully, soon enough IJ and Hamas will start calling each other collaborators, that will be the sign that war has started between the two.
