On February 13, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) revealed that the United States is recruiting jihadist mercenaries to commit terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia and in the CIS countries.
The militants are recruited from among terrorist groups. At least 60 experienced terrorists are already training at the At-Tanf base in Syria. At this base, as well as in the border areas of Jordan, the CIA has been training militants for more than 6 years.
“According to reliable data received by the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, the US military is actively recruiting militants of jihadist groups affiliated with the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda to commit terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia and in the CIS countries”, – the SVR press service claimed.
According to the SVR, “in January, 60 such terrorists with experience in combat operations in the Middle East were selected.”
“They are currently undergoing accelerated training at the American base at-Tanf in Syria. There they are trained in the skills of making and using improvised explosive devices, as well as methods of conducting sabotage and subversive activities,” the press service said.
Immigrants from the Russian North Caucasus and Central Asia are attracted to cooperation with the US.
The transfer of militants by small groups to the territory of Russia and the CIS states is expected in the near future. They will be tasked with preparing and carrying out terrorist attacks against diplomats, civil servants, law enforcement officers and personnel of the armed forces.
According to the SVR report, “special attention is paid to the planning of attacks on well-guarded facilities, including foreign diplomatic missions.”

Another appeal of the US Embassy to US citizens to leave the territory of Russia, which was published on February 12, may become another signal of upcoming terrorist attacks on the Russian territory prepared by the US and its puppet Kiev regime.
US citizens should refrain from traveling to Russia because of the “unpredictable consequences” of the conflict in Ukraine, and those who are already on its territory should urgently leave the country, according to the US Embassy. The US officials did not provide any reliable information on why US citizens should leave Russia as soon as possible, but only explained the appeal with general reasons like “Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ U.S. citizenship, deny their access to U.S. consular assistance, subject them to mobilization, prevent their departure from Russia, and/or conscript them.” Thus, no urgent threats were revealed.
“The possibility of terrorism” was mentioned among the reasons.
“If you wish to depart Russia, you should make independent arrangements as soon as possible. The U.S. Embassy has severe limitations on its ability to assist U.S. citizens to depart the country and transportation options may suddenly become even more limited.”
