Kiev’s forces are regularly shelling the industrial area of the Zaporozhiue nuclear power plant, disturbing the energy supplies and other processes on the NPP. However, they do not always target the dangerous nuclear facilities located in the plant itself as in the case of damage to suck facilities, the risk of nuclear catastrophe grows. Since the end of September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) stopped their attacks on the territory of the plant. Unfortunately, the pause did not last long. The Ukrainian military has resumed shelling of the NPP area, targeting the dangerous nuclear facilities, on November 19. The attacks are still ongoing.
On November 19, from 5.15 pm to 5.41 pm local time, the Zaporozhie NPP was targeted by 12 shells. Ukrainian forces hit the area of the station, and not only the industrial zone nearby. As a result of the attack, six shells hit the spray cooling pond which is part of the cooling system of the NPP. Two shells hit the at-reactor dry storage facility. Three other shells hit the area of the 2nd checkpoint.
On the morning of November 20, the shelling continued. The attacks began at about 9.15 am local time. According to the latest data provided by Russian officials from Rosenergoatom, at least 15 shells have hit the area of the NPP so far. The Ukrainian military damaged the at-reactor dry storage facility and the special corps No. 2, where spent nuclear fuel is stored. Ejection of radiation at the nuclear power plant have not yet occurred.
None of the station staff was injured.

The head of the IAEA called for an immediate end to the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP, avoiding to name the forces behind the dangerous attacks.
“The news from our team (IAEA experts at the NPP) yesterday and this morning is extremely disturbing. Explosions have occurred at the site of this large nuclear power plant, which is completely unacceptable. Whoever is behind this must stop immediately. As I have said many times, you are playing with fire,” head of the IAEA Grossi said.
Zaporozhye NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River near the city of Energodar. This is the largest plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and their capacity. The NPP has six power units which has a capacity of one gigawatt. Since March, the Zaporozhie NPP has been operating by the local staff but under control and protection of the Russian military. The station facilities have recently passed into ownership of the Russian Federation.
On September 1, the IAEA mission visited the NPP and several agency specialists remained there.
At a time when the so-called political West is trumpeting the alleged nuclear threat from Russia, Ukrainian militants are freely hitting the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. The Kiev regime continues to regularly shell both the city of Energodar and the territory of the NPP, threatening the world with a nuclear disaster.
All the experts agree on one thing that an accident at this plant will lead to large-scale consequences, primarily in the western part of the continent, but the West itself does nothing to stop and even supports the terrorist Kiev regime, which gives such dangerous orders to its military day after day.

If the unthinkable did result from the Ukie shelling of the nuclear facility the Russian federation would have a de-facto ‘security fence’ that would also encompass the Nato countries of the East and much of Europe.

The Russians have left quite enough electricity intact for the civilians, or the Ukronazi military, but not both. It’s up to Kiev to decide which is the priority.

Analyses of the videofootage so far indicates that the projectiles came from the south. That would mean that they are fired by Russia

Although Russia certainly wants to be able to get ZNPP back online as soon as possible, it may be a wiser idea to have the nuclear material on site moved to a safer storage facility deeper in Russia. It would be a great shame for another terrible nuclear disaster to happen anywhere in the world, but especially for another one to happen in Eastern Europe, the people of that area have suffered enough.
