Ukraine is to put three R-360 Neptune missile divisions on combat, the director of the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise NPO Pavlograd Chemical Plant, Leonid Shiman said.
Shiman said that during a visit to the plant by Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
“… I think that in the coming weeks we will, once again, begin to produce missile systems for the needs of the Ministry of Defense … This also applies to Neptune, because there has been an order to put three divisions on combat duty,” Shiman said on June 6th when Avakov was visiting.
According to preliminary data, the division of the coastal anti-ship missile system Neptune includes 6 USPU-360 launchers with 24 cruise missiles, and the corresponding number of transport-loading (TZM-360) and transport vehicles (TM-360).
In general, one division is armed with 72 R-360 cruise missiles (4 anti-ship missiles on each of the 6 vehicles – USPU-360, TZM-360 and TM-360).
Thus, according to a statement by Leonid Shiman, it is planned to produce at least 216 missiles for the coastal version of the complex, which will arm the three RK-360MC divisions, which together include 24 launchers.
Given the full ammunition at the storage bases, the number of missiles ordered can be several times more.
Currently, the land-based version of the Neptune missile system is undergoing state tests with practical missile launches at sea targets. According to the original plan, they should be completed in the second quarter of 2020.

In particular, over April and May 2020, three flight tests were carried out at the State range of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Alibey,” during which seven R-360 cruise missiles were launched.
The possibilities of hitting a sea target at a distance of about 100 km were tested. The tests involved radio interference for the homing head of the anti-ship missiles and the simultaneous launch of two missiles at different targets that were located at a distance of more than 20 km from each other.

It’s 300 km range. But nobody is shitting bricks. Ukrainians had only old blueprints of Kh-35 from mid 80s. It’s just a modification of old type Kh-35 with more fuel. This missile is subsonic and range bigger than 200 km for this kind of anti ship missile is disputable until now. In fact, it’s nonsense to use such kind of missiles near the Crimea coastline where anti air defense is very strong. Because, like most of modern anti ship missiles, Ukrainian Neptune is subsonic and is effective only against small ships or in a swarm attack. Anyway, if Ukrainian military industry will be capable to produce these missiles in quantities for swarm attack, the Neptune won’t make any serious damage but will give Russia the right to strike objects inside of Ukrainian territory. BTW I have no doubts that Ukrainians are stupid enough to start a swarm strike. But I also have no doubts that Ukrainians are thieves and it’s very questionable if they will be capable to produce any serious number of this missile.
There is no safe airdefense even against subsonic missiles, especially if they fly lower.
There is. Radars can detect low attitude targets but at the closer range. That’s why swarm attack tactics is used in cruise missiles strike. Like tomahawks strikes in Syria.

If Ukraine strike first of course Russia has the right to retaliate but even if I side with them I realuze their system is so corrupt that they could hurt themselves before hurting Russia.

And modern situation is quite good for Russia. Finally our industry stopped collaboration with Ukrainian industry so quality of products without Ukrainian part is higher. Because of Ukrainian nazzi elites our EU partners are in cold economical conflict with USA and big part of Ukrainian population is pro Russian now. And the most wonderful moment: Ukraine is destroyed and no one Ukrainian can say Russia did it. So I would say we need USA to bring more trash and hardcore in Ukraine by supporting Ukrainian nazzis. Because logically this artificial geopolitical nonsense created by Bolsheviks has to be disintegrated. Existence of the Ukraine is raping of common sense.

Some times I’m tempted to agree with the last part of your comment that time runs in favor of Russia in the conflict with Ukraine because of the international economic and politic instability but them I come down to Earth (Google street view) and I see how slow you people evolve without Occidental money and influence.
As a side note, many Russians are very agreable, funny and hard workers and is a pleasure to work with them, thouh I know some of them share your opinions about the Russian master race and the holy mission that all neighbours shall bow at — but they hide it very well because now Americans call the shots and even if the American boss would just be entertained, the other employees would make their life harder.

USA brought to power the nazzi minority which thinks they are master race while other ethnics in Ukraine are their slaves. Further USA support of the nazzi, means stronger pro Russian trend for the Ukrainian population majority. In fact USA did a huge favor for Russia by legitimizing the Crimea reunion and allowing corrupted nazzi elites to the power. And, of course, nobody now in Russia says Ukrainians are brothers. If before 2014, I were kinda black sheep saying that Ukrainians must not be subsidized, now anyone says that Ukrainians are brothers – looks like idiot. So it’s not Russian society but USA made the “grapes” not attractive for the Russian majority and that is really positive, at my point.
