On September 26, the Russian Ministry of Defense summed up the interim results of the military operations in Ukraine. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in September alone, the Ukrainian army lost more than 17 thousand people on the frontlines.
Moreover, over the past month, more than 2,700 weapons and military equipment were destroyed. In particular, they included:
- seven Bradley infantry fighting vehicles,
- 77 M777 artillery systems,
- 51 self-propelled guns from Germany, France, Poland and the USA,
- two German Leopard tanks,
- one British Challenger tank.
“The Kiev regime throws untrained soldiers into bloody assaults for slaughter,” the head of the Russian Military Defence claimed.
Another month of Ukrainian counteroffensive resulted in no gains, while Kiev’s Western patrons continue supply the war-torn country, claiming that “weapons are the way to peace”. The Russian Minister claimed that the United States and its allies are “only pushing Ukraine to self-destruction.”
Earlier, on September 5, the Russian Defense Ministry declared that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had lost more than 66,000 servicemen and 7,600 weapons since the beginning of the counteroffensive. Thus, Ukraine lost about 83 thousand people in four months.
The number includes only servicemen whose deaths or heavy wounds were recorded by the Russian military. The real number of Ukrainian losses may be much higher.
how many casualties is on the russian side?
možno 8 až 10 tisíc. keď pomer je 10:1, podľa toho čo sme mohli čítať pred tým. vo vojne sú vždy obete na oboch stranách. i keď je to iba švo. ale bojuje sa a to s ostrými.
not sure , but roughly 1:5 to 1:10. first of all because of air superiority and professional army.
in some places 1 russian for every ukrainian. in others 1 russian for every 10 ukrainian. sometimes greater sometimes less. depends on what the russians were doing and if they were having an off day when shit went down .
none 😕😉
to by šlo. to bola zase raz poriadna žatva. svetu mier!!!
muahaha, russian crappy propaganda is so fking hilarious 😆😆😆
what a tragic loss of human life. what fiends are pushing these men to go out and die for no good purpose?
more meaningless stats, instead answer some relevant questions: is the donbass any more secure? how much territory has rus actually taken and secured? are rus civilian deaths still 2x pre-smo? have all ukr airfields and missile batteries been destroyed? can rus guarantee that usa atacms can’t launch from ukr territory and strike deep into russia? etc… finally, why not simply blitz those kiev nazis and take back ukraine fron the usa once and for all?
83 thousand dead is not meaningless. it makes the donbass more secure.
“how much territory has rus actually taken and secured?” that’s irrelevant to this smo. the surrender or total defeat of ukraine’s military is.
“have all ukr airfields and missile batteries been destroyed?” ukraine is still getting new ones of the latter, so no.
another 83k conscripted sick/old men dying doesn’t create security or win wars. rus is only acting as the us-elite’s butcher.
only irreversible territorial gain (such as odessa, kiev, dnieper basin/steppe and black sea coast) will crush the kiev regime, deprive it of the ability to threaten rus, and thus guarantee security. rus lost 31m in ww2 but prevailed only because it regained and won new territory up to berlin.
time to bomb those makeshift airfields and supply routes as well.
but this is not a real adequate comparison. alone sovjet union and russia are not the same.
ukraine’s nato assisted military is hardly comparable with the 10m nazis that swept towards rus/ussr during operation barbarossa in 1941. today rus has the military, technical, economic and numerical advantage – as well as crucial air superiority. there is no excuse for rus failure to regain and hold donbass territory, as well as taking odessa.
“can rus guarantee that usa atacms can’t launch from ukr territory and strike deep into russia?” no
“finally, why not simply blitz those kiev nazis and take back ukraine fron the usa once and for all?” because that might rally up support for a nato intervention, just like how the us came too close to the chinese border during the korean war.
‘that might rally up support for a nato intervention’
the whole point of the smo is to stand against a nato/nazi presence and nukes in ukraine. if nato intervenes so be it, fight it when its stocks are depleted rather that signing a fake peace deal and allowing ukranato to rebuild (minsk accords anyone?). this is existential, rus must be fearless.
“this is existential, rus must be fearless.” fearless is not enough , you must be clever too
it’s no good being clever without having the stomach to prosecute a war. fortune will always favour the brave.
don’t forget also the aims of smo: demilitarisation and denazification, there was no escallation to to total war against nato among these aims. unfortunately it is developing this way.
war is war by any name, even ‘smo’. calling it smo doesn’t prevent carnage or poor decion making. the aims of the ‘smo’ were soon lost in bloodshed and losses.
donbass, zaporozhye etc are still not safe from nazi attacks but the smo’s ‘aims’ have changed to defending crimea.
denazification of ukraine hasn’t happened either, instead we see the renazification of the west!
did ‘clever’ rus actually foresee these events back in feb 22?
the smo was russia’s last resort as nato attempted to put them in a nuclear crossfire and force capitulation. so nato now uses this as their propaganda tagline in their war for empire.
