In early hours on April 29th, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the city of Donetsk. As a result of the attack, an oil depot in the Kirovsky district of the city was hit and a large fire broke out.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, the fire at the State Enterprise Fuel Company “Oil Depot” broke out at about 4:15 a.m. as a result of shelling by the AFU. Two containers with hexane with a volume of 75 m3 were depressurized, and the fire reached the area of 100 m2.
In about 5 hours, the fire was extinguished. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the incident.
At night, Ukrainian forces targeted the residential areas in the village of Novomikhailovka and in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. A total of eight shells with a caliber of 122 millimeters were fired all over the city, the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control reported.
