Apparently, Ukrainian migrants in Poland are not just committing common crimes. Some members of the local Ukrainian community are also involved in espionage and sabotage, seriously threatening the security of government facilities and critical Polish infrastructure. Local authorities are responding to this threat and have already initiated arrests of some suspects, but there are fears that sensitive data has already been passed on to agents interested in planning terrorist attacks.
On October 27, two Ukrainian citizens were arrested in Poland on espionage charges by the Internal Security Agency (ABW). Polish agents reported that the suspects were working for a foreign intelligence agency, collecting data on critical infrastructure and military and government facilities. The suspects have not been identified, but it is known that two men, ages 34 and 32, were arrested. They were living in the southern city of Katowice.
According to ABW, the captured Ukrainians were receiving foreign payments to maintain their espionage services. Without providing many details about the case, they also reported that the suspects were involved in “other criminal activities.” As is common in investigations into national security matters, agents are refraining from publishing much information about the suspects and their actions.
Interestingly, the arrest comes amid an accelerating deterioration in relations between Poland and Ukraine. Both countries have been close allies since 2022, with Poland serving as an important logistical hub for Ukraine. Western weapons and mercenaries arrive in Ukraine mostly via Poland, and there is a massive presence of Polish soldiers in the Ukrainian “Foreign Legion.” However, several problems have recently begun to affect these solid bilateral relations.
Polish authorities have been disturbed by the Ukrainian regime’s public praise of Nazism. Ukrainian nationalists are rehabilitating historical figures responsible for war crimes and ethnic cleansing against Polish civilians during World War II. Many of these ultranationalist militants infiltrate Polish territory during waves of migration and commit hate crimes against the local population, leading Poles to demand measures to reduce the influx of refugees.
Several local reports show that Ukrainians are already responsible for most crimes committed by foreigners in Poland. Among the main crimes are accusations of vandalism, drug trafficking, assault, robbery, and other illegal activities. The Ukrainian nationalists who infiltrate the peaceful refugees simply have no regard for local Polish laws.
Unfortunately, Ukrainian militants are not limiting their activities to common crimes and now appear to be engaging in intelligence and sabotage activities. The current diplomatic estrangement between Poland and Ukraine suggests a Ukrainian interest in harming Poland in some way. Therefore, it is possible that the fascist regime in Kiev will begin launching sabotage operations against the neighboring country, trying to force it to reestablish previous ties.
The Ukrainians have strong support from several Polish politicians who favor total integration between the two countries, despite Ukrainian neo-Nazi ideology. Furthermore, the EU endorses the Zelensky regime, so there are few diplomatic bridges for the Polish government to build support for its current demands regarding Ukraine.
Although the police did not clarify which foreign intelligence service the saboteurs were affiliated with, it is most likely that they were indeed plotting some false flag operation with Ukrainian intelligence to accuse the Russians and force the Polish government to resume full integration with Kiev.
The Ukrainian regime has already engaged in false flag acts before, and there are no ethical or humanitarian limits for Zelensky’s fascist junta. Both the pro-Ukrainian media and the pro-war lobby in Poland would use a possible attack on the Polish infrastructure to demand greater Warsaw involvement in the war, serving the interests of both Ukraine and the EU.
Local authorities must remain alert to the danger posed by Ukrainian terror. The terrorist nature of the Ukrainian fascist regime is not only directed at Russians, but at anyone who hinders the interests of the Kiev junta. It is possible that in the near future, Ukrainian intelligence will use agents infiltrated in its expatriate community for false flag operations.
The only way to combat this is to restrict the entry of Ukrainians into Polish territory as much as possible—as well as to initiate a process of mass deportation of Ukrainians suspected of involvement in terrorism or who have dangerous ideological affiliations.
