Ukrainian Drone Attacked Russian Plant In Kursk Region

On the night of July 16, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted another massive drone attack across the border. According to the official report by the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the past night alone, 13 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the Russian MoD, nine Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in the Rostov region, another UAV was intercepted in the Belgorod region, one UAV was intercepted in the Kursk region, one UAV was shot down in the Voronezh Region and another one over the Black Sea near the western the coast of the Crimean Peninsula.

The massive drone attack resulted in damage to one of Russian industrial facilities located in the border areas. The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Korenevsky plant of low-voltage equipment in the Kursk region. During the attack, one of Ukrainian UAVs managed to drop an explosive device on the territory of the plant. As a result, a fire broke out at one of the workshops of the plant. The attack resulted in no casualties.

The targeted plant is located about 30 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The constant massive drone strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Russian border regions result in damage to Russian civilian infrastructure. Most of Ukrainian drones are intercepted by the Russian air defense forces but some of them manage to reach their targets. On the nigh of July 15, another Ukrainian UAV that was reportedly intercepted by Russian EW means fell on an oil refinery in the Oryol region.
