After a short pause, the Armed Forces of Ukraine resumed attacks on Russian rear infrastructure. On the night of February 24th, another wave of drone strikes targeted Russian rear regions.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in total, 22 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by Russian air defense forces during the night. They included:
- 16 UAVs destroyed in the Oryol region;
- 3 UAVs in the Bryansk region;
- 2 UAVs in the Ryazan region;
- 1 UAV in Crimea.
According to local reports, Ukrainian drone strikes inflicted damage to an industrial facility in th ecity of Ryazan located about 460 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border. A fire reportedly broke out at the local oil refinery. Judging by the footage, two depots caught fire. The local authorities confirmed the attack, which resulted in no victims.
The last Ukrainian attack in Ryazan was reported on January 26th, when Ukrainian drones targeted facilities of the local fuel and energy system.
