On the night of March 4th, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched another wave of drone strikes on Russian rear infrastructure. The night attack was not massive, but Ukrainian UAVs again inflicted damage to Russian facilities.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in total, 18 Ukrainian drones were destroyed during the night. They included:
- 10 UAVs in the Rostov region;
- 3 UAVs in the Voronezh region;
- 2 UAVs in the Samara region;
- 1 UAV in the Kursk region;
- 1 UAV in the Belgorod region;
- 1 UAV in the Astrakhan region.
Unable to attack Russian rear military facilities, the Kiev regime targets civilian infrastructure in an attempt to weaken Russia’s position on the international scene. Ukrainian UAVs again attacked facilities of the Russian fuel and energy system.
Damage was reported in the Rostov and Samara regions. On the evening of March 3rd, Ukrainian UAVs struck an oil refinery in the village of Chertkovo in the Rostov region. After a series of explosions, a fire broke out at the facility. The local authorities confirmed the attack, adding that the fire was soon eliminated. Together with the oil refinery, Ukrainian drones reportedly attacked the oil pipeline in the town of Novoshahtinsk, without any significant damage.
Ukrainian UAVs reached another oil refinery in the city of Sizran in the Samara region. According to preliminary reports, the Ukrainian military used PR-2 UAVs of the aircraft-type with the range of about 1100 kilometers. The local authorities confirmed the strikes. The fire was soon eliminated.
In response to the ongoing attacks on the Russian civilian infrastructure, Russian forces are pounding Ukrainian rear, inflicting heavier damage to the enemy.
