russian air force and air defence has been at least weak as i guessed before feb 2022. nor did i believe in russian army been effective. what surprised even more was the low morale of russian armed forces.
biggest problem in russian military is poor training system and especially nco’s are absolutely crap compared to trained nato nco’s. that’s the reason why russia has been forced to send high commanders to areas where nco’s and junior officers should have done their job. russia has lost thousands of captains, majors, colonels, even tens of generals because lousy trained nco’s and lieutenants.
moral inside russian military ain’t high too. hundreds of thousands of young men have escaped abroad to avoid military service. when it comes to new russian rookies the russian military is barbaric bully. you can’t create well motivated army with good soldiers when trainers are sadistic bullies and themselves being poor level leaders. putin has huge military problem.
russian military once again ridiculed by ukies. doesn’t surprise me at all. but still i think ukies will loose slice of eastern ukraine to russians. but more important is the economic and energy warfare. situation will be agonizing for russia though europe too has suffered especially during 2022. now in 2024 future is more bright for europe but darker for russia. renewables are playing important role.
europe doesn’t need russian energy. energy transition is going on and actually accelerating. the cheapest way to produce electricity is solar and wind with hydrogen becoming near behind. coal, natural gas and nuclear energy are much more expensive. geothermal heating and heating pumps using electricity produced by solar and wind are beating flat natural gas and coal burning. russia has already lost energy war.
