In the Zaporizhzhia area, Russian troops have seized control of Charivne and advanced into the southwest part of Komsomolske. They have also consolidated their position in Verkhnia Tersa and on the eastern outskirts of Vozdvizhevka. Russian troops have repelled Ukrainian attempts to hold their positions and transfer reserves. In the Sumy area, Russian assault groups advanced 450 meters and repelled a Ukrainian counterattack from a forested area northwest of Velyka Rybytsia. They are currently fighting in Kondrativka and Zapsillia. In the Kharkiv area, Russian forces captured  Chaikivka after breaking the 159th Brigade’s resistance. They advanced up to 650 meters in the Vovchansk sector and continue to fight in forested areas and Volokhivka. In the Slaviansk area, Russian forces are encircling Krasnyi Lyman from the north and east. They are consolidating their position in the surrounding forests. Most of the city itself has fallen following airstrikes and ground operations. Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that France is ready to strengthen Ukraine’s ballistic and air missile defenses.

Zaporizhzhia Direction

In the western part of Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian units are increasing their presence in Stepnohirsk. Additionally, the situation to the east has become significantly more complicated. Ukrainian forces are advancing in the Shcherbaky area and toward Piatykhatky, and clashes are ongoing near Stepove.

Villages in the Orikhiv suburban area also remain predominantly in a “grey zone.” Near correctional colony No. 88 in Mala Tokmachka, Ukrainian units are under attack from operational-tactical aviation, drone crews, and artillery. Given recent attacks in the area, it is possible that Ukrainian units will continue to attempt to push Russian troops back from the Kamianske–Stepove–Shcherbaky line towards Vasylivka.

As previously reported, Russian units took control of Charivne by advancing between the Huliaipole–Omelnyk and Polohy–Orikhiv roads. From Myrne, Russian units advanced toward Novoselivka (west of Komsomolske) and entered the southwestern part of Huliaipilske. Fierce engagements continue on the eastern outskirts.

There are ongoing fierce engagements in the areas of Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhenka, and Tsvitochne. Russian units are eliminating the Ukrainian units’ wedge in the Tsvitochne area and have advanced to its northern outskirts. Meanwhile, Ukrainian units are trying to maintain control of Tsvitochne and of strong points to the south. This will hinder the advance and accumulation of Russian assault groups in Verkhnia Tersa.

Russian assault groups have advanced in the area of the ponds on the eastern outskirts of Vozdvizhenka. In Vozdvizhenka itself, Russian units have consolidated their position in the southeast. Ukrainian units have transferred reserves to the area in an attempt to stop and push back Russian troops. Fierce engagements continue in the northern sector. Russian units are attacking from the bridgehead beyond the Vovcha River, northwest of Oleksandrohrad. Meanwhile, to the north, Ukrainian units persistently try to insert groups into Poddubne to establish control over Komar.

Sumy Direction

In the Shostka district, Russian assault units are clearing forested areas and advancing towards Bachivsk. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are moving mortar crews and drone operators farther into Ukrainian territory, primarily to the Nova Sloboda area.

In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced up to 450 meters along nineteen fronts. There are ongoing firefights in Kondrativka, Zapsillia, and the surrounding areas. Ukrainian units attempted a counterattack from the forested area northwest of Velyka Rybytsia towards Russian forward positions near Zapsillia. As a result of the ensuing firefight, all Ukrainian servicemen were killed.

In the Krasnopillia district, near Riasne, Russian assault groups advanced up to 450 meters. Rocket launchers of the “North” grouping targeted concentrations of personnel of the 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade of Ukrainian units in the Mykhailivka area.

Kharkiv Direction

In the direction of Vovchansk, the “North” grouping’s assault units advanced up to 650 meters along eleven sections. The 126th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 71st Motorized Rifle Division of the 14th Army Corps overcame resistance and expelled the remaining Ukrainian servicemen from Chaikivka, a settlement under the control of the 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Chaikivka is part of the Chaikivka–Okhrimivka–Mala Vovcha stronghold, a Ukrainian defense node located on the left bank of the river between Okhrimivka and Volokhivka. Russian assault groups have taken positions on the flanks of two Ukrainian defense nodes, gaining the ability to cut off and bypass them in the Volokhivka and Okhrimivka defense areas, as well as cut off their communication along the O-210825 road.Firefights continue in the forested areas of the Vovchansk district along the right bank of the Vovcha River, as well as in Volokhivka. Radiological, chemical, and biological defense crews struck a concentration of personnel from the 127th Separate Tank Mechanized Brigade in the forested area north of Izbitske and the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Ternova area with heavy flamethrower systems.

Slaviansk Direction

In the direction of Slaviansk, successes have been noted in the Holubivka area, where fighting has shifted south, as well as in Pryvollya. Minkivka has been almost completely cleared. Cutting the E-40 highway near Pryvollya would critically impact the supply of Ukrainian forces in Slavyansk. Russian units are encircling Krasnyi Lyman from the north and east and consolidating in forested areas south of Lake Lopukhovate. Ukrainian units’ logistics are being systematically destroyed: bridges, crossings, and the Shchurove–Krasnyi Lyman road are under constant fire. After striking the positions of Ukrainian units in Krasnyi Lyman with high-explosive aerial bombs, Russian assault groups began clearing and engaging in clashes within the urban development. As a result, most of the city has come under the control of Russian units.

Kostiantynivka Direction

The assault on Kostiantynivka is taking place on several fronts. Russian units have reached Lomonosov Avenue from the direction of Berestok. Russian units now control almost all of Novodmytrivka. In Chasiv Yar, after the capture of Mykolaivka, the clearing of Ukrainian unit positions continued. Ukrainian troops have transferred to Kostiantynivka from the direction of Hryshyne and Dobropillia, trying to hold their positions. Small groups of Ukrainian troops in the tactical “pocket” near Chasiv Yar are practically surrounded.

Conclusion

Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the Zaporizhzhia area, Russian forces continue to advance despite the tense situation and Ukrainian counterattacks. They are expanding control zones and threatening to encircle Ukrainian units in key settlements. Capturing Charivne and advancing towards Novoselivka and Komsomolske strengthens the “East” grouping’s positions. In the Sumy area, Russian forces are advancing systematically, repelling counterattacks and striking reserves. In the Kharkiv area, the capturing of Chaikivka and the cutting of the O-210825 road is an important tactical success that disrupts the coordination of Ukrainian units in the area. In the Slaviansk area, the encirclement of Krasnyi Lyman, the advance into urban areas, the clearing of Minkivka, and the pressure on Kostiantynivka create the conditions for a further advance towards the Slaviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. In the international political context, a notable event was a statement made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He announced that France is ready to strengthen Ukraine’s ballistic and air missile defenses. Zelenskyy had previously acknowledged Ukraine’s shortage of ballistic missile defense missiles and the difficulty of obtaining weapons that the United States now needs for its operation against Iran. He also complained about delays in supplying missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

On his Telegram channel, Zelensky thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for his willingness to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. This statement demonstrates Kyiv’s ongoing efforts to attract European allies to make up for the reduction in military support from the United States and fill critical air defense needs.
