On October 28th, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that the Ukrainian military launched offensive operations in all war-torn regions. All the Ukrainian attacks were repelled and resulted in heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian offensive operations took place in the Kharkov and Kherson regions, Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics but resulted in no gains by the Ukrainian military.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked Russian military positions near the village of Berestovoye in the Kharkiv region. The attack was carried out by forces of a reinforced battalion. As a result of the fire damage inflicted by Russian artillery on the advancing troops, more than 150 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, five infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers and nine pickups were destroyed.

In the area of Krasny Liman, two battalion tactical groups of the AFU launched another offensive towards the village of Chervonopopovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The AFU attempted to cut off the road between Svatovo and Kremennaya. The attack was repelled by Russian forces. Artillery fire and strikes by Russian warplanes destroyed more than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, three armored fighting vehicles and two cars.
A group of Ukrainian saboteurs armed with American FGM-148 Javelin were discovered by Russian forces and destroyed by a mortar shot in the area of Krasny Liman:
On the Donetsk front lines, a company tactical group of the AFU attacked Russian military positions near the village of Vremevka located 30 kilometers to the west from Ugledar. As a result of actions of Russian units and artillery fire, the AFU were pushed back to their positions. As a result of the failed operation, more than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles and one pickup truck were destroyed.

In the Kherson region, Russian artillery fire and strikes by Russian warplanes defeated the reserves of Ukrainian troops advancing from the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog directions, as well as sabotage groups which were operating along the front lines. More than 180 Ukrainian servicemen, eight armored fighting vehicles and six cars were destroyed.
The Ukrainian military continues offensive operations by small assault groups along the front lines in the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The attacks are likely aimed at weakening Russian defenses, as well as combat reconnaissance amid the ongoing preparations for large-scale offensive operations. The attacks continue in all regions, so the Russian military could not identify the area of another large-scale offensive. Such tactics of the Ukrainian military command leads to large losses in manpower. Kiev has already stated that the ranks of the Ukrainian army need to be replenished with new servicemen. Mobilization continues throughout the country.

– the task of partially mobilizing 300,000 people has been completed, the military registration and enlistment offices will continue recruiting volunteers and candidates for contract service;
– the average age of those called up as part of partial mobilization is 35 years;
– 13,000 Russians went to the troops as volunteers, without waiting for summons from the military registration and enlistment offices (now, I personally consider these guys to be the real patriots of the RF);
– 218,000 mobilized are at the training grounds and are undergoing training and combat coordination, 82,000 people are currently in the SMO zone, of which 41,000 are operating as part of units;
– all the problems that arose at the initial stage of partial mobilization have been resolved;
– The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation must be equipped with modern types of weapons.

The large offensive is going to be in Zaporozhye because they want to reach the Azov sea and cut off the logistics for the Russian forces in the Kherson region. Another hit to the Crimean bridge will be performed before or at the same time. Perhaps they”ll similtaneously destroy the Kakhovka dam so that the Russians get overwhelmed, because the NATO military have mentioned several times that the central system of the Russian Army makes it extremely difficult for the Russians to react effectively to many things happening at the same time.
I personally believe they’ll do a second offensive from Otsakov to encircle the Russians in Kherson.
And let’s not forget the “feigning” tactic they used in September, i.e. attack Kherson, and while all eyes are focused there, they suddenly attacked Kharkov too.
