In three months of military operations in Ukraine, Russian-led forces have managed to establish a land road from the western Russian regions to the Crimean peninsula. The Russian side is restoring transport infrastructure in the Donbass region. It would appear that Zelenski is following Soviet strategy and tactics from WW2 during the German invasion of 1941. When the Red Army constantly counter attacked using new reserve armies after the previous ones got smashed. Sadly these new armies lacked cohesion, experience, coherent leadership and anything remotely armored or air support so they suffered horrendous losses as the Wehrmacht destroyed them again and again. They did bloody the Wehrmacht though until it was a shadow of its former self at the gates of Moscow. But the Red Army suffered horrendous losses in 1941. 3.5 mln men just in captured POW’s alone. 2/3rds of which were murdered by the Germans in the first major organized genocide of the war.
