The Russian military had launched pinpoint strikes against Kiev forces and repelled several attacks in the south Donetsk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on June 13.

In a statement, the ministry said that strikes with long-range precision air-based weapons targets locations where the operational reserves of Kiev forces were amassed, as well as a Western-made ammunition and weapons depot.

Ukrainian troops continued to attempt to carry out an offensive in south Donetsk direction, as well as near Artyomovsk over the past 24 hours, according to the ministry.

In the Vremevka salient, Kiev forces launched an offensive with units hastily formed from the remnants of the Ukrainian brigades which had previously suffered heavy losses.

Three attacks by Ukrainian units reinforced with main battle tanks and armored fighting vehicles (IFVs) were stopped in the area of Makarovka in Donetsk. All the attacks were repelled by the Russian Vostok Group of Forces, air strikes and artillery fire. Out of ten Ukrainian armored personnel carriers that took part in the attacks, eight were destroyed.

Two Ukrainian attacks were also successfully repelled in the vicinity of Rovnopol in Donetsk. Two Ukrainian tanks and three IFVs were hit there.

In addition, most of the personnel of a Ukrainian tactical group and four IFVs were neutralized as Russian troops repelled an attack near Prechistovka in Donetsk.

Total Ukrainian losses in those areas during the day were up to 275 troops, four tanks, 15 IFVs, eight vehicles, and one Msta-B howitzer, according to the ministry.

Moreover, two Ukrainian attacks in the direction of Klesheyevka in Donetsk were successfully repelled by the Russian Yug Group of Forces. Up to 350 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, and six high mobility vehicles were neutralized in the fighting.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the units of the enemy close to Ivanovka (Kharkov region) and Rozovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In addition, actions of one sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been thwarted near Timkovka (Kharkov region).

More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, one armored personnel carrier, one pick-up truck, and one D-20 howitzer have been destroyed during the day.

In Krasny Liman direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Tsentr Group of Forces engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Nevskoye and Belogorovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), and the Serevryansky forestry.

The enemy has suffered losses of up to 60 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles, four motor vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and D-30 and D-20 howitzers in this direction in the past 24 hours.

In Kherson direction, up to 30 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, one Msta-B howitzer, and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer have been neutralized over the past 24 hours.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 98 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 114 areas during the day.

Air defense forces have intercepted three Storm Shadow cruise missiles and ten HIMARS MLRS projectiles during the day.

In addition, six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed in the areas of Staromlynovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Rabotino (Zaporozhye region), Korsunka (Kherson region), Pshenichnoye and Novokrasnyanka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In total, 442 airplanes and 238 helicopters, 4,585 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 9,939 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,122 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 5,100 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 10,927 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Meanwhile, a number of videos released by the Russian MoD and other sources documented the work of Russian attack helicopters and tank-hunters against Ukrainian fighting vehicles. One of the videos shows a Mi-28NM attack helicopter engaging targets with the advanced LMUR stand-off missile.

Other videos showed the work of Russian artillery and the destruction of several Ukrainian howitzers, including at least one American-made M777.

Despite sustaining heavy losses in equipment and manpower, Kiev forces have failed to make any meaningful gains on the ground since launching their so-called spring counteroffensive on June 4. Still, the counteroffensive will likely go on for weeks, if not months.
