The Ukrainian military has shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic with grenade launchers and mortars.

The territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) was shelled by the Ukrainian military, which used grenade launchers and mortars, the RIA Novosti news agency reported on Saturday, citing the headquarters of the LPR Defense Ministry.
“For the past day, the ceasefire was violated three times by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The positions of the LPR People’s Militia in the areas of settlements Kalinovo and Logvinovo were shelled with 82 millimeter calibre mortars, tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns and short-range unguided rocket projectiles,” the source at the headquarters said.
In all, the Ukrainian military fired about 56 shells on the territory of the self-proclaimed republic for the past day. The shelling was carried out from the direction of settlements Novozvanovka, Luganskoye and Troitskoye.
