On the morning of January 13, the local authorities reported two attacks on the Russian city of Berdyansk in the Zaporozhie region. According to preliminary reports, two Ukrainian missiles were intercepted in the area od the local sea port.
Later, unofficial reports claimed that two Ukrainian UAVs targeted the port infrastructure but they did not reach the targets and were shor down by Russian air defense forces. The debris reportedly wounded one person. No damage to the infrastructure was reported.
In addition, the Ukrainian military reportedly attempted an attack on Mariupol in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukrainian S-200 missile converted to attack ground targets was launched from Ukrainian position in the Zaporozhie region but it did not reach the target and fell in the fields near the city.
The Ukrainian military may be probing Russian air defense in the Sea of Azov region. New attempts to launch more massive attacks on the Russian port infrastructure may take place soon.
