Russian engineering units only now started to prepare fortifications around Svatove. Instead of doing this for 3 weeks while a few brave units fought in Lyman against overwhelming odds to give them time to prepare defenses in deep. They actually had months to bring tons of heavy machinery from Russia and make reserve defensive lines, including minefields, but they didn’t… unlike Ukros – I remember seeing their commandeered civilian bulldozers digging trenches almost near frontlines since late February. They were never even targeted by Russians…. Civilians or not they are actively supporting military operations, that means perfectly legitimate target.
