On August 29, Ukrainian police shot a man in front of his wife and children. The incident took place in city of Dnipro.
The initial reason of the conflict is yet to be clarified. The video filmed by the children shows the police trying to pull the driver’s wife out of the car. The woman screamed but soon law enforcement officers took her out and knocked her to the ground. The husband rushed to help his wife. As a result of the battle, the police officer was knocked down. The officer took out his weapon and shot the unarmed man at point-blank range.
The man was reportedly killed by two bullets in the stomach and one in the chest.
Later, the police reportedly commented on the incident. They said that the man was drunk and attacked them, but the video proves the opposite.
Amid the ongoing mobilisation throughout Ukraine, it should not be excluded that the police officers could try to take the man to the frontlines but the woman tried to protect her husband. The National Police of the Kiev regime actively helps military commissars in their hunt for new servicemen on the streets.
Representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk police said that an investigation was launched.
“The leadership of the National Police has appointed an internal investigation into the use of service firearms by a patrol policeman. Currently, the patrolmen are suspended from their duties,” the message of the patrol police of the Dnipropetrovsk region reads.
It seems that the Ukrainian police are actively assimilating the culture of Kiev’s Western partners and copy the tactics of the US officers.
