- The 10th separate motorized infantry battalion of AFU deployed in Karlovka shelled the Kievsky district of Donetsk with the U.S.-made 155 mm M864 shells with cluster warheads;
- Ukrainian artillery shelling damaged a private civilian house in Staromikhailovka;
- On August 23, the Ukrainian military killed one civilian and wounded eight others in Donetsk.
