UN says Falkland Islands lie in Argentinian waters, UK rejects

According to the Argentine foreign ministry, Argentine waters had increased by 1.7 million square km (0.66 million square miles) and the UN commission decision will be key factor in its dispute with the UK over the disputed Falkland Islands and beyond. A decision has been made by a UN commission to expand Argentina’s maritime territory in the South Atlantic Ocean by 35%.

On the other hand, the British Prime Minister David Cameron has dismissed Argentina’s claims to the waters surrounding the Falkland Islands as “speculation”, vowing to defend the islander’s rights.

“One of the commissions has looked at issues regarding maritime territory. We have yet to receive details of that report. This is an advisory committee that makes recommendations that are not legally binding. It does not have jurisdiction over sovereignty issues.

“I don’t think we should get ahead of ourselves. Speculation of what the report says has come from Argentina so we should wait to see what comes out of the commission.

“What is important is what the Falkland Islanders think. They have been clear that they want to remain an overseas territory of Britain and we will continue to support their right,” a spokesman for David Cameron said.

Argentina lost a brief, bloody 1982 war with the UK after Argentinian troops seized the South Atlantic archipelago that Latin Americans call the Malvinas.

“This is a historic occasion for Argentina because we’ve made a huge leap in the demarcation of the exterior limit of our continental shelf. This reaffirms our sovereignty rights over the resources of our continental shelf,” said argentine foreign minister Susana Malcorra.

Although, the UK is responsible for its defense and foreign affairs, the Falklands are internally self-governing, but. The British government earlier said that islanders cannot be forced to accept Argentinian sovereignty against their will.

However, oil exploration is already pumping millions of dollars into the Falkland Islands economy. So, the UK will not accept the UN commission rule regarding Falkland Islands and beyond.

as always capìtalist central powers never care about UN resolutions or advices as long they injure their interests. Fuck UN and FUCK NATO.

And Ireland does not belong to the UK-Empire either. Nor do the Islands off of Spain’s coast. Nor does Scotland. Nor does Canada. Nor does New Zealand. Nor does any part of Europe. The UK must be defeated, and its Norwegian-invaders deported back to Norway, and the indigenous tribal population liberated. No more Empires ever!

Mate, just shut the f*** up. Or at the very least, get educated on what you’re mindlessly blabbering on about, which makes a change of tone from your usual Zionist tin foil hat nonsense. Scotland voted to remain a part of the UK because they get so many subsidies. Had they chose independence, they’d be in a mountain of trouble due to oil prices dropping so magnificently. Their economy is worthless without high oil prices. Canada and New Zealand are entirely free, you really have no idea what you’re talking about, those Spanish islands have been inhabited for centuries, who the hell are you to decide that their residents must flee from places their families have lived in for generations, same with Northern Ireland, get a goddamn clue.
