The UN Secretary-General expressed his concern about “atrocities” against civilians in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

The UN has expressed its concern about the situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo – Secretary-General of the international organization, Ban Ki-moon, has instructed his special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, to contact with the sides of the conflict.
“The Secretary-General is alarmed over reports of atrocities against a large number of civilians, including women and children, in recent hours in Aleppo,” the UN press service noted, adding that the organization “is not able to independently verify these reports.”
The organization did not specify, which exactly incidents it has in mind.
The UN also reminded that all the sides of the conflict are obliged to “to protect civilians and abide by international humanitarian and human rights law.”
Earlier, it was reported that the Syrian Army and militias have started a clearing operation against the last stronghold of militants, who continue to resist. Civilians of Aleppo have gotten out on the streets and are waiting for an official statement on the liberation of the eastern part of the city.
It looks a bit strange that the UN Secretary-General has never expressed its concern about the presence of al Qaeda in Aleppo, but now, when the city is practically liberated from militants, Ban Ki-moon has suddenly became worried about some “atrocities,” which cannot be specified by him exactly.
The UN and its secretary general are contemptible propagandist. The only point I would like to make is that for sure there will be scores to settle. What do people expect? The moderates slaughter and behead, and when they are defeated everyone just shakes hands and say ‘no hard feelings’. Of course not. If I have seen my child cut down by a hell cannon I think I would be in there with a sharp knife pretty quick.

If that South Korean US hypocritical stooge is that concerned about Syrian civilians then he should have done what his job mandated and stopped the conflict when it started and took actions against the perpetrators of International Law namely the US, UK, France, Saudi, Qatar, UAE and etc.
I do remember some atrocities – like the beheading of a 12 year-old boy. I am certain that they are very specific, just as specific as Banya’s tweets. We know that the west has given the rebels a media budget to produce very professional media releases, The White Helmets are not amateurs. They know that detailed accounts with a compliant news media that is not willing to call them out on their B.S. sells.
Do I think that atrocities are committed in war? yes, but unfortunately, this war has been so tainted but my country’s information warfare that I have to go with the odds and assume that it is B.S. until proven otherwise.

If Assad’s forces were so vicious, why would they wait until the very end of the battle to start committing atrocities, wouldn’t they be doing atrocities all along to break the will of the rebels? Msm is talking about women and children being burned alive by the syrian army in their homes. That at least 100 kids are entrapped where the last rebels are located. sure, there is a fair share of propaganda and disinformation in the history of human conflicts – but then we should be talking about war propaganda and not independent journalism. Journalism is a very delicate profession, and for this reason those which exercise it are subject to strict work ethics. It’s also chilling that starting the day after the US elections, those same msm started talking about “Post-truth world”, with Obama openly using the phrase multiple times – they show an arrogance that makes think that they are not going to revise their methods, not giving a single damn about how they were proven wrong on issues (like the vote) on which they were practically swearing by.
I agree with all that, I just think that the media have almost always shown themselves ready to be co-opted into being war propagandists. They should be independent and objective, but in the end, all the big outlets were always owned by some rich fellow with an agenda, and the small ones get bought as fast as they spring up. Actual independent journalists have always been a rare treasure. In essence, my only point was that this is not new, but business as usual. 1. Assad has on several occasions, safely relocated militants and their families, in identical situations, from places like Daraa to places like Idlib. So why would Assad, go full psycho now in his most high profile siege in the Syrian war when the eyes of the world are on him? A. He wouldn’t.
2. As per my last post, the Russians are saying that now that Aleppo has been taken that there are no White Helmets or other NGO’s that have been producing these sorrowful images of Assad’s brutality at Aleppo.
3. The Syrian Army has been besieging Aleppo for months, why would they save their good atrocities for now. This is more likely the last good camera shot for the rebel cause.
4. The planting of stories to U.N. representatives who report the accusation so that it sounds like the U.N. is making the accusation is just too slick to be a coincidence.
If the MSM had two brain cells to rub together they would at least be skeptical but no, they would rather tell a good story. They don’t give a flying whatever about the truth.
