During the last few days, several units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 4th Division were redeployed from the northern al-Suwayda countryside to frontlines in the northern Lattakia countryside and the northwestern Hama countryside, a military source told SouthFront on November 30.
According to the source, the 4th Division is currently preparing for a possible military operation against remaining radical militants within the demilitarized zone around the governorate of Idlib. However, the source noted that the operation is yet to be confirmed.
Militants violated the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement on a regular basis during the last few weeks. They even used chemical weapons to target a residential area in the city of Aleppo on November 24 injuring more than 100 civilians.
Earlier this month, Syrian and Lebanese sources reported that the Damascus government and its allies are considering a military operation against the militants in Idlib. Russia’s special presidential envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, also stressed during a recent press conference that Russia is ready to support efforts to eliminate the al-Qaeda terrorists.
Despite all of these indications of a nearing military operation in Idlib, Russia and the Damascus government will likely opt to give the demilitarized zone agreement a second chance, if Turkey takes real steps to implement it.

I dont think Syria want to give any chances to any agreement that has been taken with out them and agreed between the russians and the turks, for the sole benefit of russia with her gas pipes into turkey in mind and the turks taking and keeping idlip and afrin and not only.

Remember the US pose back then (august/september?), it was very aggressive with threats about “responding to chemical attacks” and they had their boats in position. The Brits and French too. Threatening not only attacking Syria but Russians as well.
I think calming down at that time, arming Syria with more defense systems, perhaps make it more easy to take Idlib later with the turkish deal – sounds like a much safer path. Maybe now is better?

I think most are confused by the fact that russia moved into syria and actually saved Assad and Syria from been eliminated from the map and stop the zionist plans. BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:10 P.M.) – Turkey has sent a large military convoy to the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate, opposition activists in nearby Idlib reported via social media on Friday.
According to the reports, the Turkish military convoy consisted of several trucks and heavily armored vehicles. The Turkish military convoy reportedly made their way to the observation posts in the northern Hama towns of Morek and Sheir Magher.
This move by the Turkish military comes just days after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) sent a large convoy of reinforcements to the front-lines in the Idlib, Latakia, and Hama provinces.
In particular, the Syrian Arab Army sent the entire 5th Legion to the Idlib-Hama axis, while also deploying several units from the 4th Armored Division, including their elite 42nd Brigade (Ghiath Forces), to northeastern countryside of Latakia.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Turkish Army’s chemical-biological weapons experts are in regions in Northern Syria where Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) recently launched chemical attack on Aleppo city’s Northwestern neighborhoods, local sources reported on Friday.
The sources said that Turkey is trying hard to clean up the area’s soil and buildings from any poisonous gas residuals before the arrival of a delegation from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the region.
Last week, the Al-Nusra terrorists launched a gas attack on Northwestern neighborhoods of Aleppo city, poisoning 107 civilians.
In the meantime, sources close to the militant groups said the recent gas attack on Aleppo by Tahrir Al-Sham Hayat indicates that Turkey cannot at all control the terrorist group.
The Arabic-language Al-Watan newspaper quoted sources close to Nouralddeen al-Zinki terrorist group as saying that Tahrir al-Sham terrorists were responsible for the chlorine gas attack on residential areas in Aleppo.
“The attacks on Aleppo’s residential areas were done by rockets and shells that had been chemically armed by White Helmets,” the sources said.
The sources noted that Tahrir al-Sham’s chemical attacks were launched from the demilitarized zone specified under the Sochi agreement.
The attacks from the demilitarized zone display that Ankara had no control over the terrorist groups operating in zone, and failed to hold up its end of the bargain.
In a relevant development on Sunday, Syrian Foreign Ministry said that the Aleppo chlorine shelling was made possible because Western countries had been supplying weapons to militants so that they staged chemical attacks.
Damascus went on to call on the United Nations to take measures regarding the militants who attacked Aleppo and the states that were supporting them, Sputnik reported.
Syria’s comments came after on Saturday, militants based North of Aleppo fired chlorine-loaded shells at the city’s al-Khalidiye neighborhood. Militants also shelled the neighborhoods of al-Khalidiye and Al Zahraa as well as the Nile Street, causing at least 65 people to be delivered to hospitals over difficulties with breathing.
The ceasefire has collapsed.
The Syrian coalition is simply patient in their preparation.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – For the second time today, intense clashes broke out along the Idlib-Hama axis between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza.
According to a field report from nearby Mhardeh, the clashes broke out this evening when the Syrian Arab Army opened fire on a group of jihadist rebels moving through the designated buffer zone near the town of Al-Lataminah. The Islamist rebels of Jaysh Al-Izza would then respond with a barrage of mortar shells and rockets towards the Syrian Arab Army’s positions near the town of Helfaya.
The fierce clashes would then spread to the southern part of Idlib, where the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham unleashed a flurry of artillery shells on the Syrian Arab Army’s positions near the Khuwayn lines.
These firefights have been ongoing since 6:30 P.M. (local time) and they continue inflict casualties within the ranks of both parties involved.
