Two residential areas in the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo were heavily bombed by the US Air Force, the Fars news agency reported on Saturday. As result, 43 civilians were killed and many more were wounded.
Al-Haal market, al-Sina’ah district and the only bakery of the town were targeted by the US aircraft for the fourth time in their so-called anti-terrorism operations. Twenty three civilians in al-Haal and 21 others in al-Sina’ah were killed during these airstrikes.
The US air attacks also ruined a telecommunication building of Manbij.
Also in July, the US Air Force’s attacks on an ISIL-held village near the town of Manbij claimed lives of over 25 civilians and wounded at least 100 others.
The densely populated village of Aghanndorh near Manbij was struck by the US coalition, a number of civilian sites, including several residential homes, were severe damaged.
Many of the victims were children and elderly civilians.
According to the director of a leading anti-war group, “the US government could best protect innocent civilians in Syria by sending its indiscriminate airstrikes and halting the arming and funding of militant groups in the country.”
“Who’s violated the ceasefires in Syria again and again? The very forces that the US supports,” the International Action Center Co-Director, Sara Flounders, said.
U.S. should not even be allowed in Syria’s airspace. Is anyone keeping a tally on how many civilians U.S. bombing has killed in Syria versus how many militants/fighters it has killed?
