The US-baked Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advanced 600m towards the town of Hajin, located in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and captured 11 positions in the vicinity of the town, the SDF media center reported on September 28.
US-backed forces also continued their operations around the town of al-Susah capturing 6 new positions south of the town after heavy clashes with ISIS fighters. The attack on the town began a day earlier.
According to the group’s media center, SDF fighters destroyed three ammo depots of the terrorist group during their advance. Furthermore, US-led coalition warplanes carried out airstrikes on three positions of ISIS north of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani and around Hajin.
During the last few days, ISIS fighters managed to slow down the advance of US-backed forces using IEDs, sniper rifles and anti-tank weapons. However, the heavy fire power of the US-led coalition will likely help the SDF overcome these tactics.
Are ISIS still there ?; not evacuated yet ?.
