On June 6, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their advance towards the strategic town of Dashisha near the Syrian-Iraqi border, in the southern al-Hasakah countryside, according to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANHA). The SDF captured the villages of al-Hid and Maruf in the area of Kibiba north of the town.

A fighter of the SDF told ANHA that the villages of al-Jabur, al-Bu Hassan and Tell al-Jabir are currently witnessing heavy clashes between the SDF and ISIS. These three villages are located only 8km north and west of Dashisha.

Earlier, the US-backed forces managed to capture the key town of Fakka, northwest of Dshisha, following heavy clashes with ISIS fighters.

From its side, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq didn’t release any report regarding the ongoing clashes in the southern al-Hasakah countryside. This usually indicates that ISIS is collapsing.

The US-led coalition launched the military operation against the remaining ISIS fighters in Dashisha on June 3. Back then, many local observers questioned the seriousness of this attack, especially that a similar attack on the town of Hajin was halted earlier.

Get an US mechanized infantry company involved and they could take the town tomorrow. Still, ISIS can’t hold out for long.

“According to Kurdish Hawar news agency”, trying to promote the US propaganda claim that they are “fighting ISIS” and that there is a difference between ISIS and the SDF under US occupation. Good thing there are 70 Arab Tribes organizing to kick the Americans out. We will see if the Kurds join them or become collateral damage.
