On June 9, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued its military operation in the southern al-Hasakah countryside and captured the village of Abu Hamdah which is located 4,5km north of the strategic town of Dashisha near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANHA).
“Heavy clashes between us and the mercenaries [ISIS] took place in the village,” Jabal Karimah, a fighter of the SDF, said to ANHA describing the battle in Abu Hamdah. He added that the SDF destroyed an ISIS car bomb during the clashes.
Meanwhile, the US-led coalition announced that its artillery conducted cross-border fires supporting the SDF’s ground attack on Dashisha. The Iraqi Air Force also stepped up its aerial operations to support the SDF, according to the coalition.

ISIS fighters appear to be unable to stop the rapid advance of the SDF towards Dashisha. Due to this it could be expected that US-backed forces will reach the strategic border town within a few days.

Steady progress to be sure, but that one SDF militiaman referred to ISIS as ‘the mercenaries’ as if that is the normal thing where he is. In the outside world, ISIS is ISIS, there’s no need to call them something derisive. I would guess that if you ask him or other members of his unit he would insist that these ISIS fighters are working for Turkey and/or Assad (no matter how ridiculous that is).

they did not “capture” villages; ISIS handed over the villages to them as as planned, Do they think ,we are that stupid?
