On July 18, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that its units captured 1,100km2 in southern al-Hasakah and northeastern Deir Ezzor from ISIS in the period between July 5 and July 17. The liberated area includes more than sixteen villages and towns, according to the SDF’s media center.

During their advance, SDF fighters clashed with ISIS fighters in several areas. As a result of these clashes, four terrorists were killed and four others were captured by US-backed fighters. From its side, the SDF acknowledged losing one fighter only.

The SDF’s media center added that SDF fighters captured a pickup truck, two heavy machine guns, a RPG-7 launcher, mines and loads of ammunition of eastern and western calibers from ISIS.

Earlier this month, the SDF captured more than thirty villages and towns in the southern al-Hasakah countryside from ISIS. Currently, the US-backed force is on the verge of capturing the few remaining positions of the terrorist group there.

Once ISIS is eliminated in southern al-Hasakah and southeastern Deir Ezzor, the SDF will boost its offinsive on the last strongholds of the terrorist group along the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

Get an agreement with the syrian government, don’t be stupid.

Bill Wilson

They have one. The SDF/YPG/Kurds have been working with the SAA in Afrin and Aleppo. Assad has allowed the SDF to run out ISIS with US help from where ever they could then keep control in those regions since the SAA and Syrian government lacked the manpower to do it themselves. The SAA and SDF share control of the Iraqi border crossings. The SDF turned over control of towns/villages east of the river by Deir Azzor and now are allowing oil field contractors in some eastern oil & gas fields to repair those now that their safe from ISIS. The Kurds negotiated a revenue sharing plan with Damascus over the sale of oil & gas in their regions to help pay civil administration salaries and the Arab militias that guard the far flung oil & gas fields. That’s no big deal since Assad would’ve been on the hook for those anyways if his government was running the show there.

The SDF gave over the Omar field -> not shown on maps for some reason.

For me they need to fook off back North (in the East of the Euphrates) after ISIS is cleared and tell the Yanks and the French where to go, when they get home.

Bill Wilson

The maps show where whomever is in charge has set up a military presence along with civil administrations. The Kurds still consider the oil and gas fields to be state property so allows the Syrian government to operate and maintain those and the pipelines like they did before the fighting started. Same thing goes with the state’s electrical grid and power generation. Russia and the US are providing assistance in getting the transmission and service lines restored so Syrian industries can operate again. The US won’t be leaving until the ISIS threat has been eliminated in Syria and Western Iraq and situation in NE Syria with the militants and Turkey has been resolved. I’m sure that the US military expects the SAA to regain control of those regions with the help of the SDF.

The transmission is irrelevant, the process equipment needs serious repairs as does the well.

As usual, not evidence at all of any fight. Kurds should be part of Syria people , but to do this, Kurds must get rid of USA.

Bill Wilson

What do you expect to see? Pics of dead bullet-ridden bodies? I suspect that the SDF refrains from doing that and buries the bodies ASAP for local political purposes.

What, for how many years ?. I know what you mean, but this facade just drags on. It is all BS, whilst the Yanks ship the ISIS vermin out.

Smaug

Paranoid much?

“During their advance, SDF fighters clashed with ISIS fighters in several areas.” – well that’ll be a first !!!!.

Ilya

Nice, 4 of tens of thousands dead from sizeable territory. Maybe the US will kill a score to look like it’s fighting, leave the 9,980 to go to their next country of choice. Still, at least this level is wrapping up!

Richard M

Exactly. This is just a theater production to amuse the sheeple who drink the FUKUS Kool-Aid.

Richard M

The only reason this Orc pocket exists is to give FUKUS an excuse to keep their invading forces in Syria to advance the Globalist agenda.

Sinbad2

Hi Chuck, I’m here to capture you, oh OK Randy, you want me to take anything back to the states for ya?, no Chuck, just tell the wife I love her.

Blake Hurst

Wow I guess there is a first time for everything

Smaug

Not as much resistance as one would have expected, but given that there hasn’t been any known counter attack in this area most like means there are few ISIS soldiers than thought. Although these moves certainly do close off the advantage ISIS had (they could easily extort these towns) by establishing security checkpoints.

SS

Still ISIS in the region. XD
