On May 5, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured a train station near the village of Abu al-Hasan, 5km south of the town of Hajin, in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to sources linked to the SDF.

The sources added that the US-backed force had advanced in the Syrian-Iraqi border area and had reached the outskirts of the village of Baghuz Tahtani along the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

Meanwhile, the US-led coalition revealed that its warplanes had conducted 22 airstrikes on tactical units, vehicles and headquarters of ISIS in southeastern Deir Ezzor, and south of the city of al-Shaddadah in southeastern al-Hasakah during the last week.

ISIS fighters havev not conducted any notable counter-attacks against the SDF despite that the US-backed force reached their last stronghold on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, the town of Hajin.

Local observers believe that ISIS fighters will launch their defensive operations against the US-backed force when it reaches the urban areas in southeastern Deir Ezzor. This may allow ISIS to to limit the US-led coalition air force’s capabilities of engaging their units. ISIS fighters followed a similar tactic to repel two previous attacks by the SDF on Hajin earlier this year.

And did they bring new uniforms for Daesh dirtbags with them? :D

Would you like to be that guy, standing on the edge of that vehicle, held up only by holding that machine gun? One bump along the road and you’d be history.

Smaug

Thanks for the good news, I have a feeling ISIS will splinter apart as easily hear as it is in Yarmouk.

ISIS should put up a stiff fight for the towns along the river due to having more men, materials and supplies there. I doubt if they’ll be able to hold off the SDF to the north, where the above photos were taken.

Tchoutoye

So where’s the actual fighting? All I see is posing.
