On November 23, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that their fighters had repelled three ISIS attacks on their positions around the town of Hajin in the middle Euphrates River Valley during the last 24 hours.

“Intense clashes and battles erupted in more than one position, the terrorists were forced to run away and withdraw under the strikes of our fighters,” the SDF media center said in a press release.

US-led coalition warplanes backed SDF fighters during the clashes and carried out 10 airstrikes on positions, gatherings and vehicles of the terrorist group. The SDF media center said that 27 terrorists were killed as a result of the coalition airstrikes and the clashes around Hajin.

ISIS fighters launched the attacks from their positions inside Hajin a day earlier. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the terrorist group had been planning to reach the al-Tanak oil field in order to attack a base of the SDF and the US-led coalition there.

This new series of attacks confirms that the US-led coalition and the SDF are still far away from eliminating the ISIS threat in the Euphrates Valley.

This is meaningless tripe. Appearance sake, ‘News’ from the wannabee controllers hellbent on ‘regime change’ in Syria and Iran. ISIS is their creation. The pretense of ‘fighting ISIS’ is a means of remaining in the region to further the former.

Carol Davidek-Waller

Before or after they the liquid phosphorus attack that once again killed civilians instead of ISIS?

Ray Douglas

The yanks must be counting the terrorists that Iraqis killed.

Thank Heaven the Kurds are fighting and killing ISIS. Just this week the Russia-Syria-Iran (RSI) coalition let over 1000 al Safa ISIS fighters go after having them surrounded for almost a year. Two weeks before that they resupplied al Safa ISIS with at least 4 truckloads of food, drugs, money, ammunition and arms as reported right here on SF. Not sure why RSI even pretends to fight ISIS anymore when we all know ISIS works for them. SAA declared victory in al Safa and then retreated back to Damascus claiming they will fight ISIS in Damascus. They could not even show us 1 dead al Safa ISIS fighter… some victory.

How about fighting the huge pockets of ISIS west of the Euphrates. ISIS still hold over 10% of what is left of Syria under Assad’s ‘control’.

You mean the Kurds are repelling Isis, it’s Arab and Christian militias attacking Isis at Hajin, not the Kurds, they’re on strike trying to get a better deal out of Trump, they’re only protecting their own interests now. You know if you pull the ‘s’ out of you name it spells Trojan, as in Trojan horse, just thought I’d add that.

R Trojson

Thanks for the update on Kurds change in strategy to defend their own people instead of fighting ISIS.

Trojson remove s makes it Trojon but Trojans were proud fighters and not a bad football team, nothing against horses either so have to admit I have been called much worse.

The Greeks did kick their butts though, so they weren’t quite as good as Achilles mob. This is the second time the Kurds have striked, I think it’ll be the last time, soon they’ll be fighting for Assad and not the US, and taking back their own homelands. Get ready for a big big change, everything is going to be turned upside down and inside out, you won’t even recognize Syria soon, if what I think’s going to happen does. Cheers.

Good point, I can see the Kurds fighting Turkey in Syria not just for their land but to stop Turks from murdering their families. If that is what is going on then Kurds are doing the right thing.

northerntruthseeker .

Again, if you actually believe this report that the US “killed” 27 of their own hired mercenaries and operatives, then I have an igloo to sell to you!

Willing Conscience (The Truths

At the start of this operation the US,SDF, and official Syrian estimates all said there were at least 1500 fighters here, either they got it totally wrong [hard to hide more than 1500 in an area 30km long and 10 to 15 wide] or there were a lot more fighters here than they believed. Or maybe a lot of those 4600 Isis fighters I say escaped from the US/SDF/Iraqi campaign to free Ar Raqqah/Al Hasakah/Deir ez Zor are Joining them a few at a time. If you look at estimates from 5 months ago until now, the 1500 figure they state are fighting here hasn’t changed, it’s still 1500 5 months later, does that mean they haven’t even killed one Isis fighter yet, no it means something else.

Ed

Lol! I think its safe to assume that there are FAR MORE than 1500 Daesh fighters in Syria!!! More like 150,000.

Ed

Well it appears that Daesh have now captured Al-Bahrah from SDF after an infiltration attempt and are now advancing towards Gharanij. Way yo go SDF!!! Another successful fuck up.

Fred

So where are the dead ISIS bodies? What happened to the ISIS mercs? Did the US and Israel stop paying them and they were given free passage to their homes in various Western nations? Were they redeployed into the bogus SDF? Or were they sent to Afghanistan or to the Philippians to maintain the US presence in those nations?
