On February 7, a group of ISIS suicide bombers attempted to attack a gathering of civilians who had fled from the terrorist group’s pocket in the middle Euphrates River Valley.
“A group of 7 mercenaries wearing explosive belts sneaked in and attempted to blow themselves up among civilians … Special forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) intervened and eliminated the mercenaries after they refused to surrender,” an SDF fighter told the Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANHA).
A day earlier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) claimed that the SDF and the US-led coalition had launched their final attack on ISIS’ last positions in the Euphrates Valley. However, more recent reports say that the situation is still calm to a certain level.
In the last 24 hours more terrorists, including minors, left the ISIS-held pocket and surrendered to the SDF. The ANHA released photos of some them.
The battle against ISIS in the Euphrates Valley appears to be nearing its end. However, it remains unclear if we will see a final assault by the SDF or a deal with the terrorist group, similar to what happened in Manbij, Tabqah and Raqqa.

Why is,SDF blocking civilians from entering Government control areas.
I would think its because their US masters have ordered them not to free the civilians that wish to return to the areas controlled by the elected Syrian government..
It may have something to do with the SAA shooting at any boats, barges and rafts trying to cross the river.
And they had many good reasons to shoot at anybody coming that way, it is also hard to imagine that any civilians would own a boat or raft , not confiscated by the terrorists at that point.
How about we drop the word backed. They are US forces, the US uses mercenaries from many countries but they all follow American orders.
I’m curious to see if the SDF will provide a rundown on the occupations of ISIS “fighters” that surrendered. ISIS had to recruit skilled tradesmen and technicians to replace absent Syrian workers that kept the infrastructure and oil & gas fields running by paying abnormally high salaries which were reduced as ISIS started experiencing cash flow problems. Many workers were able to leave right before that started happening with others sneaking away or having to get themselves smuggled out once their paychecks became meager which forced ISIS to hold the rest as captive workers. This batch of surrendered fighters appears to be an intelligent lot by their facial expressions and everyones body language.
Yeah, sure, especially the three teenagers have a lot of selfconfidency in their body language, guess they are skilled technicians. Sorry my friend, but I do not get your point here…
YEAH, THEY SIT ONTHE SAME SIDE OF THE TABLE AND NEGOTIATE WITH THEMSELVES IN TURM.
This is because they both work for the same people, the Deep State as you call it on your side of the Atlantic.
There was a he scandal 20 years .on this side of the Atlantic on “AntiGroups” and “Gladio”. . Both work for the Trump Administration who pay the wages of both and have them pretend to fight one another.. The object is to create chaos in the country concerned,
