On April 28, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) redeployed many of its units from the Omar oil fields in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside to its positions around the ISIS-held town of Hajin, according to a report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The SOHR said that the redeployment of these units is a part of the ongoing preparations of the SDF and the US-led coalition for launching a joint military operation against the remaining positions of ISIS on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
Local observers believe that more than 1,000 fighters and commanders of ISIS are currently stationed in Hajin and several other villages along the eastern bank of the Euphrates. Previous battles around Hajin have shown that these besieged fighters are well-armed and willing to fight.
During the last few weeks, several US officials, including US Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis, have said that the US-led coalition and its Syrian allies are preparing to resume their campaign against ISIS in eastern Syria.
The Kurdish-dominated SDF has not conducted active operations against ISIS since the beginning of the Turkish attack on the Afrin area on January 20. According to experts, this has allowed the terrorist organization to reorganize its forces in eastern Syria, which will make any new operation more complicated.

They’ve been trucking tons of construction materials and equipment to al Omar from Raqqa in the last few weeks. Sorry, Raqqa civilians. Rebuilding will have to wait – security of the Kurdish oil theft booty takes priority.
They have to rush because the CENTCOM-protected ISIS pockets scheme (no progress against ISIS in almost six months) is quickly falling apart. The US only considered the utility of this scheme against Syrian forces and their allies attacking from the west. They didn’t expect Iraq to be so pissed off about the US-created ISIS safe zones in Syria, nor did the US expect the 4+1 to start killing ISIS on the Syrian side of the border. The US/SDF expected to control the Syrian-Iraqi border as war booty, and now Syria and Iraq have just ruined the plan. How inconsiderate of them!
The 4+1 coalition (Iraq, Iran, Russia, Syria + Hezbollah) unexpectedly bombed an ISIS HQ in their CENTCOM-protected Hajin lair on the 20th. No telling how many western intel operatives were inside the three-story building when the Iraqi Air Force dropped it. The message to CENTCOM was clear: the 4+1 coalition is on to your ISIS scheme, and intends to shut it down.
So CENTCOM is frantically building Fort Omar to defend ‘their’ oilfield from Syria on the west and Iraq on the east. At the same time, they are creating the impression in the MSM that the SDF is gearing up for a battle against ISIS – at least in the Hajin to al Bukamal strip on the east side of the Euphrates. Now CENTCOM has to figure out where to evacuate the 5,000+ ISIS head-choppers it had stationed there. It can’t stuff them all in Fort Omar. It can’t give them a shave, new uniform and CENTCOM ‘border forces’ paycheck – too obvious. And the 4+1 will kill them all if the US evacuates them to the east pocket.
Sounds like a good time for the US to kick off the war against Iran, Shia militias and Hezbollah with a false flag. No chemicals necessary – just drop a few mortars in Fort Omar and blame it on them. Bolton will easily exchange a few dead US soldiers for his (((war against Iran))).
