US-backed Forces Recaptured Sugar Factory North Of Raqqah (Video)

Support SouthFront

On Monday, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) recaptured the sugar factory north of the city of Raqqah back for ISIS terrorists that had seized it last weekend.

SDF units entered the area after a fierce fighting with ISIS terrorists and an intense US-led bombing campaign in the area.

The sugar factory is located east of the 17th Division Base north of Raqqah. Controlling this area, the SDF will be able to launch another attempt to retake the site from terrorists.

SDF ? Who cares ?

VGA

Eh? Have you checked a map recently? They control a huge part of Syria.

Jens Holm

SDF zone for now is 20% even not in importance, its mainly the most poor ones

Jacek Wolski

Well, obviously not you.

Russia says SDF are in league with ISIS.

Again SDF taking or “retaking” an area without a shot being fired. I’m officially calling this BS from now on.

Jens Holm

You should be proud. All killing and eroding ISIS give bonus.

Instead the nagging propaganda goes on as if kurds were reason to the uprises, killings, 8-10 mio. refugees as well as at least 230.000.

You are shit like many others in those matters. No wonder many kurds want their own land as well.

Calm down! I’m not accusing the Kurds of anything yet. And I have appreciated that so far they have been co-operative with the Syrian government. BUT this reporting from Raqqah is clearly a propaganda exercise trying to give the impression that the city is being taken by force. That is clearly not the case. That attempt to mislead I am calling BS. Moreover, keeping the South Raqqah free without completing the encirclement is just wrong, for anyone that takes terror insurgencies seriously. If you got the bad guys trapped, you don’t let them walk and go and attack your friends, do you? It’s got the dirty paw marks of CIA on it. It is possible that the Kurds are under pressure, but normally, giving several thousand ISUS fighters the open road is not a nice thing to do. Syria gave the Kurds a home when they were expelled form Turkey a few generations ago. I hope they are not planning to bite the hand that fed them.
