US-backed Forces Seize Jafrah Oil Field On Eastern Bank Of Euphrates, While ISIS Fiercely Attacks Syrian Army

On Saturday, US-backed forces continued exploiting clashes between Syrian government forces and ISIS to capture important oil and gas infrastructure located  on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor province.

According to local sources, the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured the strategic Jirah oil field located west of al-Khajjah village. If the SDF is able to develop momentum and to seize Khajjah, they will be in a perfect position to take control a road heading to the Iraqi border along the bank of the Euphrates. Thus, US-backed fighters will cut off the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies deployed on the eastern bank from the oil fields located east of Deir Ezzor city.

This will also open a route for an advance on the ISIS-held town of al-Busayrah. Considering a lack of the ISIS resistance to the SDF, this terrorist stronghold could also fall into the SDF hands easily.

Meanwhile, ISIS continued its fierce attacks against the SAA along the strategic Palmyra-Deir Ezzor highway. Earlier this week, the terrorist group launched a large-scale operation aiming to slow down or even to reverse the SAA gains in central Syria. Fierce fighting is ongoing between the SAA and ISIS in multiple points.

There’s no hope for SAA now. They will lose the race. They should allow the Turkish bombers to invade Rojava, Deir-Ezzor and Raqqa or Syria will fall. Tho I doubt that Erdogan could be trusted. He is a vile subhuman.

Wagner schmit

Turkey is “distracted” with the events in Iraq and illdib at the moment too bad.

RTA (Bob or Al)

They have a force on the border with Syria and await the invitation.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/09/large-convoy-turkish-troops-gathers-syria-border-170917121843145.html

Wagner schmit

The war will soon end, but Syria needs those oil fields to strenghten it’s economy and rebuild it’s country. If US coalition gets those oil fields then Syria will become a extremely poor country while Kurdistan and America will keep on becoming richer by stealing and looting Syrian oil. Wrong how do you know these fields can still produce what if they are dried up or damaged too much to be used again or would take years to get them working again? They have been mismanaged for about what 6 years?

RTA (Bob or Al)

I think you overestimate both the strength of the Kurds and indeed the US strength.

The people in both Iraq and Syria are awakening and seeing who the real culprit is.

As for your concern of the oil fields, I doubt very much they have dried up, they maybe damaged but I would bet you £100 that the Yanks sent maintenance engineers to everyone of those production sites. Basically they have not been miss-managed, just the opposite.

Bill Wilson

90% of Syria’s oil is low grade garbage that the Assad’s preferred to export at a discount since it didn’t produce much usable product to justify the higher costs to process the crap.

PZIVJ

Didn’t you say the same fricking thing two weeks ago. Always the ray of sunshine, aren’t you. :/

dutchnational

Not everything he says is nonsense but the importance of those oilfields is way overstated.

There have been many countries being laid to ruins by war and after rebuilding created wealthy societies, even without oil. It might take a bit longer but anyone thinking Syria can be reconstructed within a year or two, even with some oil, is overly optimistic. The effects of this war will be felt for more then a generation within Syria.

Clive Hurston

lol

Bill Wilson

Syria is a failed state.

Samuel Boas

Go troll somewhere else kid.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Talk about the troll happens to be you who just talks shit like a hasbara troll go comment on what it’s like to be supported by the hasbara fellowship.

andy l

I dont share your pessimism. The Kurds capturing the oil fields doesnt mean they will be able to steal them for good. They realise it just strengthens their hand in post war negotiations, it makes good leverage to strike a deal with Assad. The Kurds dont have the numbers to take on the SAA on their own once ISIS are finished. Besides Deir Ezzor region is not even Kurdish. I thinks its likely Assad will offer the Kurds some form of limited autonomy within a sovereign Syria, an administrative area they will control & get a share of the countrys oil wealth – if they dont agree the SAA will march right in & retake those oil fields. I doubt the US will start bombing the SAA when their whole reason for being in Syria is to fight IS. I also suspect that part of any settlement will mean the US packing their bags & getting out of the country which they are illegally in. Also what good is oil to the Kurds if they are unable to sell it. Turkey can easily seal the border in protest to a kurdish state, same for Iraq.

RTA (Bob or Al)

I absolutely agree with you.

Just is addition to your excellent comment – remember what forces are just across the border in Iraq -> the PMU, the Kurds to me, are just being he lap dogs to their US masters, but one day soon, will realise that they are being used and abused.

Vince Dhimos

They would also need a road thru Syria and Iraq to the market. But the PMU will not give them right of way in Iraq and the SAA will not give them right of way in Syria. So now what? And then if China puts a downpayment on drilling rights at Deir Ezzor and sends in security forces….

Bill Wilson

LOL! Those oil fields produce low grade garbage that nobody wants unless it’s been deeply discounted.

dutchnational

Suppose all this were true, which I doubt, but suppose.

Do you think that if Turkey/Erdogan get their hands on say the omar field, that they will give it back somehow?

They will. Likely at the same time they will hand over Hatay and Azaz. Erdogan can be trusted in this.

Wagner schmit

Honestly the real reason why they fight SAA harder is SAA leave lots of stuff for ISIS when they crack under pressure and flee like Palyma which brings up another question of why Russian satellite did not anticipate ISIS movements and bomb them but can easily spot US moving through ISIS areas yea that is fishy.

dutchnational

Conected to your comment is the different styles of holding newly liberated lands.

SDF forces dig in against counterattacks, crack troops are included in patrol, road blocks and all villages have, for the moment, a small garrison. This is also why they need such a large force to take Raqqah. Most of them are not in Raqqah city but in the surrounding countryside.

The price is usually a slower rate of advance.

SAA leaves holding forces by second or even third rate forces. They are able to move on rather quickly but remain vulnarable on the flanks and rear.

IS is able to overcome SAA holding forces relatively easy while they have a much tougher time retaking any SDF held area.

aeolius

Dutch: The hallmark of a western army is that using seasoned noncoms, small units are able to be effective independently. In that sense the SDF is creating a western-style army. Second, despite what some here would like to believe, the SDF is not just a Kurdish force. Ideologically, the fact that Kurds have been willing to die in liberating Arab areas especially Raqqa, and then handing some power back to mixed local councils is revolutionary. Equally revolutionary is the use of women’s units on the front lines. Quite a role model for Arab women. Recently SDF formed an Arab Women’s battalion and seems intent upon grassroot spreading of women’s equality!. After ISIS is defeated and SDF can reduce its garrisons,it will be able to field over a division of experienced, westernized troops. It will be interesting to see what happens next. My bet is toward the Golen and the Sea.

THEMBA

The problem is that the USA is co-ordinating both SDF and ISIS attacks at the same time so to block SAA from advancing thereby creating a good chance for Kurds to continue their land Grabs in Syria , It’s funny why Kurds would want to claim oil fields that were under gvt control b4 the war , so this a clear intension of occupation orchastrated by the US gvt , USA is doing a lot of damage in Syria than any good if there is any at all. As long as US is allowed to stay in Syria they will awaken ISIS sleeper cells to divert SAA attention elsewhere yet they continue land grabs of oil field using the Kurds , USA wants to pump and control those fields together with the Kurds , so the SAA has to put a lot of Manpower tk crossing the River, The SDF keeps following the SAA along the Euphrates river ,they are not fighting ISIS . SDF doesn’t have enough manpower to fight ISIS on two fronts at the same time , so they leave ISIS bombarding the SAA while they rush tk grab oil fields as they strike deals with ISIS . How is that Kurds are just taking oil fields without resistance from ISIS. The Question is Why are KURDS building up in the front line of SAA forces then blocking their advance East wards. SAA must now use another chanel to the eastern side of Syria where oilfields are located. Kurds can not claim they own oil fields unless they want to behave as ISIS then Russia and Syria must bomb them out too.

Wagner schmit

Having SAA right next to the qamishli or al hasshak pockets is the reason more incline to do military then diplomatic if have secured beachhead right into the backyard.

Shibumi

You want your oil fields back and you want Al Raqqah back, fine, we want our autonomous region up north . We trade one for the other. This is the reason for all this ” land grabbing ” , Kurds do not intend to stay in that region but it serves them as a negotiation tool.

Alex

You’re not the problem, US is and the rest of their lackeys.

MH370

i guaranteed US will influence the kurd during negotiation to demand assad must go again. Once assad gone. the region will be in chaos again because of power vacuum and power grabbing between politician and warlords

Shibumi

I agree with you to some extent. If Assad leaves, there will be chaos. It will be like Lybia with far too many tribes and ethnicities to hold up a strong Govnt. Although in a hypothetical mainly kurd autonomy, I don’t think the chaos would spill over like iraki Kurdistan which has kept a certain stability for years while the rest of the count try had hell breaking loose since 1991.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The Kurds will be wiped out as they will no longer have a country to make a claim to this will be the unfortunate cost of not being secular. When you try to cheat in an referendum which has no legality in law and can’t be supported as no observers of the international committee were there to observe the process and when it violates the constitution, unlike Crimea and others who have done this.

Gonçalo Pena

If it is so, it is deserved. But I doubt of the intentions of Israel and US… and the Kurds can be compelled to ask the impossible to prolong war. I really hope a fair deal between Assad and the Kurds, Syrian to Syrian without foreign meddling.

Shibumi

Sem duvida, concordo com você.

dutchnational

A fair deal between Syrian groups, including also Syriacs and other minorities, is indeed what Syria needs.

The only problem is reaching an agreement on what is fair.

Ronald

Fair is easy , removing the monster USA , that is the real problem .

dutchnational

Fair is something both parties to an agreement consider fair. They are not interested in your rantings.

Ronald

I must admit I hold no esteemed position , but allowing the US to remain on Syrian soil after their waging war against it for the last six years , is not going to be considered fair , by Syria or anyone with an eye for fairness .

Andrzej Bendyk

Is Syria your ancient native land ? As I know you came to Syria from Turkey. Get out of Syria and do not destroy Syria in USA and Israel interests. Do not pretend saints. You participated in Armenian genocide and now you prosecute Yazidis and Assyrian Christians. If you think that by serving Zionists you will have your own state you are wrong. Now I understanstand why you never had your own country. You serve as cannot meat for more clever than you are.

Shibumi

So much rage is going to kill you young man ?

Andrzej Bendyk

Young ? I am 70. I know both hamsa hamsin and Kurds. Each of them is not saint but I am mad that sharia or Kurds are destroying secular Syria state. Was is so bad for you that in Syria lived all people and religions in peace. Now there are many “warriors” , “sheiks” all for forieign money. I see many muslims prefer to kill than to work. That is why we have all that bakshis beggers as fugitives in Europe. Each one that want rebel and destruction in Syria is for me a criminal. This is the horrible future you make for your children not mine. You must hate your children then.

Shibumi

Stay in Poland, you are safer there.

Andrzej Bendyk

I will. We are not crazy to blow up ouselves or lead sectarian fights

George King

There will be no trade nor blackmail, your words betray you and your ilk….. You must account for the ethnic cleansing, theft, death and destruction of Syrians in Kurdish areas of other ethnic cultures. You can not deny and any people who think this is ok or past deserve nothing.

Clive Hurston

The Kurds, as usual, are making enemies of everyone around them. They have also backed the wrong horse in this race. Do you think the US is going to stay around and fight for you? No, they won’t. They will abandon you just as they did to many others and then you will be at the mercy of Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. Your leaders are fools and your people, in choosing Israeli support, are rubbing salt in decades old wounds in the ME. You could have sided with Syria and Iraq against Israel, but due to your short-sightedness and plain stupidity, you will now probably never have your own land and your poor children will suffer starvation. Then you will begin to understand that taking support from the Zionist invaders / rapists of Palestine and their superpower lackey was the wrong move, wrong time, wrong choice..

Shibumi

Save it !! ✌️✌️✌️??????

Kira Binkley

Who are the Kurds backing?

Clive Hurston

The Kurds , as usual, aren’t really backing anyone. They want their own independent state, but unfortunately, grabbing it (at Israel’s behest and with Zionist lackey America’s support) from countries that have decades of hurts from Israeli aggression, is only inflaming their sentiments, especially when those areas contain much of those nation’s oilfields..

Kira Binkley

You wrote: “They have also backed the wrong horse…” I wondered what you meant by that.

Kira Binkley

Americans are too stupid to do any kind of strategy like that. Right?

Zainab Ali

slow and steady wins the race …. russian led coalition is always the winner … after all when zio losers win it means they are getting deeper into hell … no escape for their war crimes

Wagner schmit

Slow and steady then they would of not reached deir ezzor if they were going slow to secure the front lines. SAA rushed job it.

George King

An ultimatum must be given to the SFD to clear back west of M7 with a specified buffer and if not all forces east of that will be declared an act of war against the Syrian nation and its citizens. It is time for the Syrian Kurds to rejoin the efforts of Syrian unity or reap the vengeance the same as ISIS, AQ or what ever changing names represent the treat to the Syrian people.

We know who is behind this and they must force this decision on the Kurdish population, “you are with us or you are against us” (the Syrian state) and as on the ground realities reveal Iraq, Iran and Turkey. Assad has shown his inclusion but it has not been reciprocated, now is the time.

Wagner schmit

Or have US and Russian military guard the region with no SAA presence or SDF in it and split the profits between the two.

George King

It is Syrian resources of a sovereign nation state and its citizen’s Treasure, Commons and Inalienable Rights. Russia is there to protect from Empire’s theft, death and destruction, no more no less.

That Guy

The SAA should destroy all of the oilfields east of euphrates so that they could not be used by the kurds. They should use artillery for that matter.

Borna Artuković

without russian clear ultimatum for kurds saa will lose this race for oil fields .. unfortunately us-zionist forces playing smarter in this situation . americans cooperate with isis and kurds in the same time . saa and allies suffered heavy casualties on multiple fronts in past few days . :( russia must send more air power and give more help to saa . critical days are coming for the future of Syria . war is not over !

RTA (Bob or Al)

Just remember who is directly over the border (1 or 2 days away maybe) = the PMU, who have already stated they would join the fight on the Syrian side.

Even if the Kurdish SDF takes the fields, then what ?, even the locals dislike them.

Floyd Hazzard

Doesn’t matter though, the Kurds should have been given clear ultimatums a long time ago. They have an office in Moscow. And to top it off they are not being touched. As of now they know they can do as they like without any backlash so why wouldn’t they?

Kira Binkley

What’s the PMU?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Iraqs Popular Mobilization forces and the main reason why the demise of the Israeli backed ISIS forces. Like the proxies they support they are weak and only tough enough to fight when they outnumber their opponent , but when equal they run and cry like babies.

Kira Binkley

If Israel is backing ISIS, they are being very stupid. One might almost say, American-Stupid.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

MOSSAD and the CIA have been creating them to replace Al Qaeda since they are trying to change the image even though the same people run ISIS. Kurdish Mullah Krekar runs both groups and has been working with Barzani and NATO and Israel on creating independent Turdistan since 2006.

Kira Binkley

Like I said before, tell THAT to al-Baghdadi!!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Shimon Elliot is dead has been for months ,according to my sources won’t name them they could be killed for betraying Israel.

Kira Binkley

Not what I hear, Woolie. Heard Baghdadi released audio so the world will know he is alive. The world doesn’t always believe me.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

You make me laugh this is rich the audio is faked clean up the distortion doesn’t even sound like him. They did the same trick with Osama bin Laden and used lookalikes.

Kira Binkley

How do you know it doesn’t sound like him? And what is your link to the audio? Couldn’t find it myself.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Still not for release , learn to have some friends who do this for a living.

Kira Binkley

Ooooookay. You’ve been caught! Trapped, even.

RTA (Bob or Al)

Again well played.

Firstly we had AQ ad due to the links and funding and creation in Afghanistan, the US needed to change the name.

What NAME did we first hear – ISIL.

https://duckduckgo.com/l/?kh=-1&uddg=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FIslamic_State_of_Iraq_and_the_Levant

(L stands for Levant ……. which encompasses which Countries ?)

WHOOPS !!!!!!!!!!

Then they changed the name to – ISIS

WHOOPS !!!!!!!!!!

and then the stupid fooks in the US changed it to – IS (Islamic State)

and many Muslim Countries went through the roof complaining….

and what do we have now ?

Daesh.

Regards the Kurds, I is all for the Greater Israel Project.

Me personally, think that Israel are living on borrowed time, whatever support the US gives them.

RTA (Bob or Al)

No offense here Kira; but is this your first day on the Internet and / or hearing that there is a war in Syria ?.

Kira Binkley

Yes. Enlighten me.

RTA (Bob or Al)

You forget to mention the PMU are ruthless fighting the good fight and mainly made up with Iranians.

But thanks for the assistance.

PS….. Israel must be bricking themselves.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Hopefully large ones and I heard that the Kurds even before the referendum tried to take control of the entire Sinjar valley, they ran into local PMU units in the area and beat a hasty retreat in a gun battle.

RTA (Bob or Al)

Explained below by Terra Cotta.

Floyd Hazzard

As of that is important to the Ruskies. The Syrian Kurds has a diplomatic mission in Moscow, and across the border the Ruskies have invested heavily in Iraqi Kurds gas. Syria is dealing with two super power crooks trying to outdo one another in their personal interest, not Syria interest.

Claudio

Let the Russian generals do what they have to do…Putin is too much of Israel’s friend.

Paul Barbara

In many areas ‘Daesh’ simply leave the areas when the US-backed forces move on them, which fits perfectly with what we know of Daesh being the US/Coalition ‘proxies’. However there appear to be some groups in Syria and Iraq who genuinely do fight the US/Coalition forces and their head-chopping and Kurdish proxies. The present US strategy is to use their Kurdish allies (and a handful of Syrian Free Army forces, for some sort of ‘diplomatic fig-leaf’) to seize land held by their proxy ‘head-chopper’ proxies before the SAA and their Russian and other allies do. Pity China isn’t in there with their massive army manpower….

Vince Dhimos

I was just thinking the same thing about the Chinese. They need to put in an appearance, Perhaps the best ploy would be for China to put a down payment for control of the oil fields to the Syrian government. Then to ask the US and SDF to leave their territory. Failing that, just move in with their army and air force while suing at the WTO.

Kira Binkley

Oh, good God!!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Hasbara troll spotted go comment on all the good things the Israelis have ever done and be honest don’t leave out their good works in the Westbank ,Gaza,Jawlaan Heights , Jerusalem come on or are you some typical zio-hasbara troll.

Kira Binkley

In answer to your last question: Nunya, Baby. I don’t converse with those still living in that Ice Age, known as the European Dark Ages.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

So you don’t have any and the answer was nunya baby, typical answer from a cultist.

Kira Binkley

Guess you’re not familiar with the Americanism: “None of your business.” Never said I COULDN’T answer, only said I wouldn’t. You really need to stop talking to me; you are out of your league.

Clive Hurston

Out of your league? Surely you are joking? You didn’t even seem to know who the PMU are? What planet have you been living on for the past few years?

Kira Binkley

Good point. I meant to imply he cannot think rationally or strategically as I do.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Seems you are the one who as a great deal of Hubris and acts dismissively to any challenge of your based assumption. Seems your alleged claim to be a a more astute thinker seems to lack any credible veritas and are only rhetorical statements.

bcbingram

But Terra Cotta Woolpuller, have you forgotten how the ‘storm of Hezboli rockets ‘ , 3 olive trees and 2 goats. and that’s why IDF punished Gaza’s hospitals……

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The troll went an closed their account temporarily and we will see it under another alias.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Syrian Allies and Russian Areospace forces encircled 1500 Iraqi ISIS members and destroyed them all.

Clive Hurston

Yeah and I also read that the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon was started by some Lebanese kid kicking the Israeli ambassador’s dog ..lol

Daniel

Haha, ISIS just give away their income, no problem… but attacking main roads of the SAA, now that is what counts. The US do not even make an effort to pretend the fight between SDF and ISIS is genuine.

Floyd Hazzard

ISIS must be getting returns on the oil from the Kurds.

dutchnational

Developments on a battlefield sometimes create a window of opportunity for one of the involved factions.

SAA used the opportunity that the SDF assault of Raqqah gave them as otherwise the 50k or so SDF fighters would have taken the Badyia and DeZ countryside with those 50k fighters.

Such is war.

Now this works against the SAA. Pity for them and kudo’s for the SDF to see the opportunity, to take the opportunity and to have the manpower and strength to be able to field two major operations at the same time.

Bemoaning by commenters of SDF “using” given opportunities is (more than) puerile, it is being stupid. Of course they will, just as SAA has done when the situation was reversed.

gustavo

SAA already lost race for Syra oil field in OMAR. I do not see any way SAA get Syria oil fields in Omar….do you see a way with fighting USA ?

RTA (Bob or Al)

I thought they had gained the Omar field !!, but I could be wrong.

In my view, their must be a battle or two with the US backed forces including the SDF (Kurd majority); they need putting in their place and need to know who is the boss. If the Yanks don’t like it -> tough sh.1.t.

dutchnational

To get to the Omar fields, one has either to cross the Khabur river coming from the west, cross the Euphrates if coming from the south, cross 20 to 30 kms of open desert coming from the north or cross out of Iraq, going through IS.

SDF has now by far the best positions here. The map will tell all the next week.

RTA (Bob or Al)

A fiver on it… end of.

Solomon Krupacek

lurds have within 3 weeks as much territorial gains as had saa within 3 months. saa is bunch of moonwalkers, sdf = bunch of sprinters.

andy l

Of course its easy to make gains when ISIS are not putting up any real fight against the SDF – anyone can see they are focusing on the SAA

Solomon Krupacek

isis makes them problem. only sf tires to enlight the isis resitance. several months blocked isis sdf in raqqa. in that time saa without isis resistance took aleppo countryside, raqqa countryside. i am waiting, you will accuse assad from cooperation with isis. stupid saa made everything -5x slower then makes sdf. that is the problem.

Clive Hurston

Same old crap from Krupacek the Ukrainian shill. Every post is anti-Russian, anti-Assad . .

Solomon Krupacek

realistic. i wish assads victory, but i will point on mistakes, too. always.

RTA (Bob or Al)

How little you know.

Whatever you want….

gustavo

SAA had enough time to cross Euphrates river and stop SDF advance. Sorry, but SAA made a big mistake and failure in war tactic. Sorry, but Syria will be divide because of this.

Solomon Krupacek

the biggest mistale was, that saa was long waiting with the beginning of the offensive. they should begin 2 months earlier, when the kurds were blocked in raqqa.

Brad Isherwood

If it’s me… I’d airlift in special forces to Tabqa Dam and retake it for Syria. I’d have Russian TAC Air …roast the landscape… and waste the ones who flee.

I’d make a Statement that what’s Syrian. ….is… Syrian!.

This of course is kick to balls of Israel and US ..and Kurds. Question is…Can Putin take the statement to this level, Or is it concession negotiations later…Maybe even years later,..to get SDF to give back what’s rightfully Syrian?.

The US is all about smash mouth and humiliate you. Until you get back what they take,…they win.

Robert M

SAA and SDF fight on the same side, being they both syrians and allies, so please stop to look for unexisting istances. Terrorists like daesh before, and now the jiahdis gild (Turkey-Iraq-Iran), will have soon what they deserve.

Ronald

The terrorists , the jihadists are from Saudi Sunni areas , the PMO’s of Iraq and Iran are allies , but you are right the SAA and the SDF are both Syrian and need to find common ground .

Mountains

Lmao.

Could someone get hold of Bashar al-Assad so I can make sense of all this. The WAR is sort of officially lost for SAA

http://25.media.tumblr.com/64121a00dc5c9e3b56f1b355bd0dd61d/tumblr_ml26saFV2i1qfrkf9o8_250.gif

andy l

lol get real. The US has officially lost in its regime change plans. That was the primary goal. The US is now looking at carving a Kurdish zone as a consolation prize but even that is tentative at this stage.

bcbingram

Once again, I agree with you andy I

goingbrokes

When Porky says lmao he’s really pissed!

Langaniso Mhlobo

Russia should withdraw all the troops from Afrin,Manbij,Raqqa and Hand over to Turkey. As Idlib is a relocating zone of surrendered terrorist it shoul be control by Iran.Russia and allies should storm all the oil fields in Deir Ezzor province.SDF should be ask to vacate the zones or get kill as their are not concentrating in Raqqa but in for clear oil race with Syrian liberating force’s.

DJ Double D

Let’s be honest in this, ISIS is attacking SAA positions more because they see in them weaker points than against the US/Kurds. The idea that there is ongoing relationship between US and ISIS while it is true to some extend doesn’t justify why the SAA/Russia are lagging behind. This point is even truer if you come to the realization that even the US/Kurds don’t have a carte blanch in capturing ISIS territories – they still fight for them. The fact that they are capturing those territories easier from ISIS is a matter of better intelligence and effective planning. For example, the US/Kurds kill ratio of ISIS’s SBVIED’s attacks is 3 out of every 4. For the SAA/Russia – it is 1 out of every 4. Why is there such a staggering difference? We all want the best for SAA/Russia in this war but sometimes we have to muster courage and ask hard questions and there are a lot of them here.

Pete

I think there are nasty games at the background. I think ISIS has been paid on both side to attack the others at least, who knows. I think the outcome of this war is heavily depending when Iraq will finish Hawija and continue the war towards the border. Many sites can be easily captured as they are deserts. (think, how quickly the northern border part has been captured, simply within days) If Iraq starts as soon as possible within days, the outcome can be affected largely, as less ISIS can attack SAA positions. ISIS in Iraq has got less strong-point after Hawija, than in Syria, where cities are following each others.

DJ Double D

It could also be argued that these ISIS latest attacks in Syria and the ones in Iraq were coordinated so as to overstretch SAA and PMU and delay their eventual coordination to liberate both countries joint borders. This bore the whole mark of high coordination that definitely is paid for.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The difference is shooting at stationary targets and dishonest reporting by the US/SDF and for the fact they are only attacking Hezbollah positions and not so much as they get slaughtered by SAA, as this is a message directed at Hezbollah. Watched videos of these attacks and didn’t see the SDF stopping any of them but dying by the truckloads. The SDF forces they have been claimed died in ambushes by allegedly soldiers dressed in SDF uniforms actually died fighting against the SAA forces along ISIS forces. That’s why so many dead SDF alongside ISIS lately and the US is worried they might lose even more and asked their Baathist ISIS in Iraq for help.

DJ Double D

I got what you are saying Terra Cotta, I’m just afraid that with these successful ISIS attacks, Russia’s reputation is at stake. And we all know that there is a whole lot of coalition of forces out there against SAA/Russia efforts in stabilizing Syria.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They have already killed 1500 Iraqi ISIS in one encirclement and will perform this task again. This is the most effective way to draw out ISIS as the US is running low on allies who are willing to fight the SAA , they have no problem engaging Hezbollah though.

Kira Binkley

Are there any other ISIS other than Iraqi ISIS?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Saudi ,Chechen,Libyan,Kurdish, Tunisian, Uighur .Uzbeki, Azerbaijan, Georgian, Egyptian etc. , these were old Saddam Baathist mercenaries, guns for hire.

goingbrokes

One interesting question that occurs is – ISUS manpower, is US military transports (Iraq or Syria) bringing in more insurgents for daesh to bolster up the line? Maybe we are not looking at a fixed number here!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They can train only so many and what you see on some of the backs of them in writing is Sharia Police, if they are using more of them then they are running low. These are used to do all those arrests and intimidate people like the Iraqi ERDs are many are among the Peshmerga forces but they are terrible fighters again. The US conducts bombing campaigns to only intimidate people and suppress insurrections in DAESH controlled areas.

Kira Binkley

I don’t believe IS fighters are mercenaries. Deception.

This has been a fact since day one, they all start trading in slaves , robbery, weapons and drugs also a lot of organ trafficking. The main recipients are Turkey and Israel which Israel receives about 18,000 organs annually, a country with the fewest donors but the highest organ transplant rate. The US and Europe are great markets garnering 100,000+ for them , you see how war is profitable for those who are it’s merchants.

Kira Binkley

What? Getting a little carried away there, aren’t you?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

What don’t like the truth , that’s because you can’t handle the truth , go lay down back in the corner Hasbara Troll.

Kira Binkley

What are you afraid of, TCW? You reek of fear.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Have no fear , you must be are you worried been noticing the fear in the trolls and how frightened they are becoming. See them lashing out all the time now, is there something going on behind the scenes you are all afraid of, I face death everyday does it worry me in the slightest , no.

Kira Binkley

We all face death. But if I am a troll, who am I working for?

“Thus, US-backed fighters will cut off the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies deployed on the eastern bank from the oil fields located east of Deir Ezzor city.” Though Tillerson has claimed that the Iraqi Kurds referendum is illegitimate, the U.S. seems to want to insure that the Syrian Kurds gain control of a major portion of Syria. What’s their game, I wonder? The Muricans, that is.

RichardD

This has been reported off and on for over a week now. The SDF southern advance has been stalled since they reached DE. The Syrian government coalition will be finished with cleaning out DE soon. And then they can push east to hook up with intel and commando units behind enemy lines. Hopefully straight through SDF positions to begin the process of reestablishing government control in Kurdish held areas.

Kira Binkley

Your source, Richie?

RichardD

For what?

Kira Binkley

All of it, numnuts.

RichardD

Are you a Jew pedophile rape cult member, or just a supporter of this evil baby raping cult?

Lol!!! Imagine answering “yes” to that question!!!

EL ZORRO

“US-BACKED FORCES SEIZE JAFRAH OIL FIELD ON EASTERN BANK OF EUPHRATES, WHILE ISIS FIERCELY ATTACKS SYRIAN ARMY”…TRANSLATION…UNITED STATES MERCENARIES used their comrade I.S.I.S to attack the Syrian army while they seize oil fields on the eastern bank of Euphrates.

Hell Hellraiser

All combined between the US terrorists and the ISIS terrorists.

gustavo

Let us be realistic. USA-Israel troops, so call kurds, will take total control of oil fields in Omar. Ruusia aerospace force can not do anythyng to reverse this situation since WWIII would be knocking at the door. SAA had plenty of time to stop SDF advance and did nothing about this.If SAA loses Omar oil fields…Syria will be divided, and the great victory that could be announced by Syria-Iran-Hezbolah-Russia will be just anothe victory. Then, it is possible to apply a famous word use in lationamerica to qualify this type of Syria mistakes….PEND….

Bill Wilson

Yay! The badass SDF advances while the Sissy Arab Army takes it in the ass again from ISIS! LOL!

Heh heh heh … Zia/ Mossad are playing with flags and renaming-s at will. Lego. (AQ, HTF, ISIS, ISIL, SDF, MDF … etc) Just like moon landing. Hasbara. Highly corrosive habit. Try it once and it becomes addiction. If there are blind/dumb spectators to “believe” you??? In moment of crises just say Je suis kurd. Zia/Mossad cached the tiger by his tail. Problem is how to release it. 100’s Nikkies will be thrown in the fire to get what|? Anti-Iran, Anti-Turkey, Anti-Iraq, Anti-Syrian solution? For few oil sources? Frozen conflict beneficiary only for Israel? Doubt that very much.
