The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have made another step to a full elimination of the ISIS-held pocket in the Euphrates Valley.
On Feburary 13, SDF units, backed up by US-led coalition aircraft and artillery, seized the area of Sheikh Hamad and most of the al-Khanafirah area. The ISIS-held pocket shrinked to a number of buildings on the bank of the Euphrates River.
According to reports, the SDF gave ISIS commanders 24 hours to surrender. If the terrorists refuse, the SDF will kick off a final storm of their positions.

Because it IS. CENTCOM is trying to hide the fact that ISIS has a number of western hostages and – at this point – will probably kill them no matter what. Probably some US soldiers or citizens by how long they’re dragging out negotiations. Maybe they’ve been able to get an occasional hostage out in exchange for letting little groups of head-chopper leaders and families escape. Could be that there’s just cannon fodder left that won’t negotiate anymore. One thing for certain, If the hostage were ‘just’ Syrians, the US would have Fallujah’d the place and everyone in it by now.
CENTCOM and SOCOM should be made to answer to the American people why – after billions thrown at building out their forces and giving them the most expensive surveillance tools on earth – they are unable to find or stop medieval Wahhabi head-choppers from dragging western hostages all over Syria and are unable to retrieve them – alive.
Fighting? Okay then. Who is supplying ISIS for the fighting? Up to a week ago it was Israel, SA, and the US.
