On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by the US-led coalition, captured the village of Kasrah and entered Harmushiyah and Tal Kersi northwest of Deir Ezzor city.
According to the SDF media wing, US-backed forces killed 5 ISIS members and seized 2 Kalashnikov assault rifles during the clashes in Deir Ezzor province.
Pro-SDF sources also argue that Kasrah, Tall Abu Fahd and Harmushiyah are under the full SDF control, but this still has to be confirmed.
At the moment this is an unimportant sideshow.
It seems there are not that many IS in the pocket and one can only hope that SDF does not has too many fighters there as they are needed more, at this time, to the east.
Having said that, once the pocket is closed, maybe some of the fighters there can be redeployed.

Unconfirmed as of yet : Markadeh has fallen to the SDF. If correct, that means the whole of the Khabur Valley is now open to SDF and forces around Markadeh can move southward.
The U.S. or rather the global deep state elements in the U.S., want a divided Syria. Is Lieberman perhaps a member of this “coalition”? Assad is winning, so back the Kurds to divide and weaken Syria?
