On Thursday, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured the national hospital in the center of Raqqa city, according to Kurdish sources. However, according to Syrian opposition sources, clashes were still ongoing inside and around the national hospital.
On Wednesday, the SDF killed 11 ISIS fighters near the national hospital.
The national hospital is among the highest building in the center of Raqqa city, and ISIS has created complex fortifications around it to defend it.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed on Wednesday that dozens of SDF fighters were killed or injured in an ISIS VBIED attack in al-Mahdi district in Raqqa city.
Talal Silo a spokesperson for the SDF said that 70% of Raqqa city is now under SDF control. the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also supported the claim.
Moreover, the SOHR claimed that less than 10,000 civilians are still trapped in the ISIS-held area in Raqqa city.
The SOHR added that only few hundred ISIS fighters are still inside Raqqa city. According to the SOHR claims, the battle in Raqqa in its final stages.
SF is reporting the fighting in Raqqah will soon wind down as most IS fighters are killed.
One can hope so.
If this is correct, soon many SDFfighters can be redeployed towards DeZ.

The only people that get “kicked” out of their houses are those not paying their rents (subsidised in case of low income) or mortgages and in both cases they need a ruling by a judge. The numbers are very low, but of course every tragedy is one too many.
