Carrier strike group (CSG) is an operational formation of the United States Navy. It is centered on an aircraft carrier and a carrier air wing (CVW) of 65 to 70 aircrafts. It’s composed of roughly 7,500 personnel, an aircraft carrier, at least one cruiser, a destroyer squadron of at least two destroyers and/or frigates. A carrier strike group also, on occasion, includes submarines, attached logistics ships and a supply ship. Carrier strike groups comprise a principal element of U.S. power projection over the world’s oceans.

how corrupt and inefficient the US is, is just amazing. i mean why do they have so many useless carrier fleeds. what’s the point to operate them within their sea. what’s the point to have 10 of those which you are afraid to use in a real war against a real opponent.

during peace time, just too expensive to operate so they are being stacked in ports for most of the time. this is one of the reason why the US are not capable to create a normal national health care system llike other countries manage to do. eventhough it is the richest country in the world what a nonsense. what a waste of money………….
