On September 18, a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III military transport plane transported two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to Kandahar Air Field, according to photos released by 438th Air Expeditionary Wing of the US Air Force.

The helictopers were delivered for the Afghan Air Force as as part of the effort to transit the Afghan Air Force’s helicopter fleet from Mi-17 to UH-60 helicopters.

2 more Blak Hawks will arrive later this week, according to Capt. William Salvin, a spokesperson for Operation Resolute Support. In total, the US is planing to deliver 159 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to Afghanistan.

Servicemen of the US-led coalition will oversee training of Afghan Air Force pilots and maintainers to use UH-60 helicopters.

So far, the Afghan Air Force has been primarily using Mi-17s for air lift and troop transport functions. However, it seems the US is going to change this.

When you use American gear, they control your armed forces through their advisors and spare parts. No more likey, no more spare parts. You can ask the Iranians about that. Whereas Russian gear seems, for lack of a better (or not) word, built like a tank. Even Jihadi groups with no access to spare parts can keep their Russian made gear running.

Meanwhile in America “And who will pay for free education for all?”

Sad but this isn’t even the question people ask here. We can bicker about domestic polices all we want but quick solutions to most issues facing Americans could be alleviated through diverting military spending. It really is sad that you can argue points all day but this simple point is a taboo to Americans and the west.

Wonder about the payload capacity of these Black-Hawk’s – ie, what volume of raw-level heroin can be stowed and transported from field-hopping collection operations?!
