Tensions in Iraq are on the rise as the country is nearing the anniversary of the assassination of the leader of Iran’s Qods Force Qassem Soleimani and several prominent Iraqi officers in a US drone strike on Baghdad on January 3, 2019.
- On December 31, Ashab al-Kahf armed group set several U.S armored vehicles on fire in the Sharqat area of Salah al-Din province;
- On December 31, a logistical convoy of the U.S military was targeted by an IED attack in the Samawah area;
- On December 30, a logistical convoy of the U.S military was targeted by an IED attack near the Jarishan border crossing;
- On December 29, a logistical convoy of the U.S military was targeted by an IED attack in the Samawah area;
- On December 29, a logistical convoy of the U.S military was targeted by an IED attack in the Diwaniyah area;
- On January 2, Baghdad’s Green Zone was sealed off by Iraqi security forces in accordance with additional securtiy measures imposed ahead of the anniversary of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
This is what happens when you are not welcome in another country, take the hint & just leave.
The US illegally invaded Iraq, despite the world’s disapproval and killed millions and now is facing abject humiliation and resistance. It has no choice but to leave Iraq and the region. The average person if fed up.
now who would attack US “freedom fighters”, “defenders of democracy” and “exceptional nation” that are defending Iraq from Iraqi’s and helping in destroying Iraq for decades already ?
Iran won’t launch a single attack on America. But that doesn’t mean America won’t strike Iran. All it takes is a false-flag, which Zarif already warned against a few days ago. Iran should thank God if Trump leaves office without some bombing campaign on Iran’s militias.
They attacked 2 US bases and US didnt post aftermath of Erbil base because one building was smashed and many Helicopters destroyed….so Iran at any moment can attack US military assets…if Trump has not launch massive attacks vs Iran´s militia is because Pentagon didnt allow him!..the same Pentagon sources told that there were many damage and soldiers wounded after Trump told that no damage and no injured in the 2 US air bases…
