The US-led military coalition in Syria has started pulling out troops, according to spokesman Colonel Sean Ryan cited by AFP.
“CJTF-OIR has begun the process of our deliberate withdrawal from Syria,” referring to Operation Inherent Resolve. “Out of concern for operational security, we will not discuss specific timelines, locations or troops movements,” he said.
Furthermore, AFP cited the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights which claimed that that the US-led coalition had started scaling down its presence at Rmeilan airfield in the notheastern province of Hasakeh.
“On Thursday [January 10th], some American forces withdrew from the Rmeilan military base in Hasakeh province,” Rami Abdel Rahman, the head of the Britain-based monitoring organisation, said.
“This is the first such pullout of American forces since the US president’s announcement” of a full troop withdrawal from Syria on December 19th, he said.
Colonel Sean Ryan’s remarks came after CNN published a story citing an anonymous US defense official who claimed that some ground equipment had already been withdrawn from Syria.
“’Some cargo has already moved,’ the official told CNN.
Due to security concerns, the official would not describe exactly what the cargo was or whether it had been moved out by aircraft or ground vehicles. The official also would not say what part of Syria the equipment was in, although it’s widely expected the drawdown will begin in northern Syria.”
Senior Officials such as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and White House National Security Adviser John Bolton have refused to put a timeline on the withdrawal.
However, according to CNN, “the Defense Department wants to show progress to Trump, and these withdrawals are a way to do it. Earlier this week, the Pentagon said in a statement that ‘out of concern for operational security, we will not be discussing specific troop movements or timelines, but we do expect to provide a periodic update on progress regarding percentages of equipment removed from Syria.’”
Earlier on January 10th, the Middle East Eye, which is a British media outlet, posted a report citing an unnamed Turkish official regarding a proposal by Bolton regarding US troops withdrawal from a position near the Iraqi and Jordanian border.
Reportedly, the proposal was a five-point document, which proposes a negotiated solution addressing “Turkish security concerns about the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the Syrian Kurdish militia which Ankara accuses of links to the banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) but which has played a leading role as a US ally in the ground campaign against IS.”
It also reiterated that the US withdrawal would be “deliberate and orderly.”
The biggest emphasis of the proposal fell on guaranteeing the safety of the YPG following the US withdrawal.
The five points in the proposal were reportedly as follows:
- The withdrawal of its anti-IS forces in northeastern Syria would happen in a deliberate, orderly and strong manner;
- The US, committed itself to defeating the remnants of IS and continuing to damage IS targets throughout the withdrawal period;
- The US declared that it wants a negotiated solution to Turkish security concerns with regard to the YPG;
- The US would pursue the withdrawal of Iranian-backed forces from Syria and a political solution in Syria;
- The US made clear that the release of captured IS militants – described as “foreign terrorists” by the US official – held by the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces is “unacceptable”.
Whether the “non-paper proposal” is real and factual has not been confirmed by neither the Turkish or US sides.
Several days earlier, on January 7th, the New York Times published a piece by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In it, the Turkish president claims that “Trump is right on Syria. Turkey can get the job done,” claiming that there is no victory for the terrorists. He said that the US withdrawal is the right move, but it must be thought out carefully and thoroughly.
According to Erdogan, “a military victory against the terrorist group is a mere first step,” giving the premature declaration of victory in Iraq’s case. “The international community cannot afford to make the same mistake again today,” he wrote.
“Turkey proposes a comprehensive strategy to eliminate the root causes of radicalization. We want to ensure that citizens do not feel disconnected from government, terrorist groups do not get to prey on the grievances of local communities and ordinary people can count on a stable future.”
AWESOME best decision they made in last 5 years in Syria, just GTFO of SYRIA. Thank you.
Sorry, but not about to happen. It is their usual smokescreen.
REALITY CHECK: The Americunts are liars and going nowhere, they are building 4 new large bases in Iraq and the Euphrates valley. Even moved their fat pig loser troops into Kirkuk today. People don’t understand that the Americunts have lied to everyone for over 200 years and broken every treaty, the last one being JCPOA with Iran. They are enslaved to Zionist cancer and will keep on destabilizing the region, looting Arab OIL and supporting Wahhabi terrorist headchoppers. They and the Zionist cancer will only leave when the cost in casualties and money becomes too much.
PLO? Hamas? Hezbollah? Awhole!
They will retreat only some troops and equipment that is far away from the contact lines with Turks and SAA. So that they can present illusion of retreat and Trump cans say “retreat is going well as it was planned”.
The rest of the troops are going to stay – for how long depends on who and when is going to hit them and how many causalities will be created out of those attacks….
Kurds are not going to renegotiate with the US, and Turks will not compromise on the Kurd issue with the US, knowing full well that Russia is holding the winning hand. As far as the contact lines between SAA, Russian and US, it is going to be fluid and as SAA incorporates more SDF held territory US will be out of Syria.
The controversy of US withdrawal from Syria cost neocon mules Mattis’ Mc Gurk and Sweeney their jobs, the Pentagon will do what Trump requested.
I have said “IF” they menage… I know that PROBABLY “Kurd’s are not going to renegotiate” and “Turks will not compromise” but I didn’t say that to make my point more clear. To follow my line of thought, to make my point more articulate and simple.
But you like to play smart ass as usual and jump on the occasion to lecture even though it is still guessing (of obvious) but is not definite yet.
There is no way that “contact lines between SAA, Russian and US, it is going to be fluid ” IF Americans go on the other side of Euphrates Euphrates is VERY CLEAR line of separation.
IF Kurd’s strike deal with SAA to completely integrate inside of SAA structure than U.S. can go home (or to Iraq) or wherever they want.
If “Pentagon will do what Trump requested” or they will do maybe some compromise instead… you can NOT possibly know that (and I don’t even want to hear your theory on the subject)
“””If “Pentagon will do what Trump requested” or they will do maybe some compromise instead… you can NOT possibly know that (and I don’t even want to hear your theory on the subject)”””
Trump wanted the troops out of Syria as he made a campaign promise, he wanted that implemented thru 2017-18……Mattis and the Pentagon resisted, Mattis got fired and the Pentagon chief of staff got fired as well for disobeying an order. No theories….just facts. The plain truth is, Trump does not care about Syria and is about to throw neocons and Israel under the bus.
Those are not the “facts” just available information’s filtered through the media.
“Facts” are something when one is present there and one KNOWS for fact what exactly has happened … We do not know why Mattis got fired Only Trump knows the true reasons why and how Mattis got fired ! You just repeating official news like God given truths. I know that we all must use that news but it is good and COMMON SENSE to have grain of salt in everything
The plain truth is, we do not know if Trump cares or “does not care” or if he is forced to change his mind, or he is blackmailed or pretending to be forced on such change of heart. We know jack-shit ! And even that little that we might know or call probable …we can’t say for sure if it is true or it is maybe used against public opinion only to manipulate it easier. We know jack-shit yet we talk about our lucky guess so that we can say later on ;” I knew it !!” ———————————————————— *Jack Shit
Jack is the only son of Awe Schitt and O. Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Knee-deep Schitt, Inc. Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt and they had 6 children: Holie Schitt, The twins; Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt and Bull Schitt. Jack and Noe divorced. Noe later married Mr. Sherlock and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock. Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they had Chicken Schitt. Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The Schitt-Happens children are Dawg, Byrd and Horse. Bull Schitt left home to tour the world. He recently returned with his new bride, Pisa Schitt.
Now, when someone say’s you don’t know Jack Schitt, you can correct them.
Trump fired Mattis for the same reason Obama DEMOTED him and removed him from command of CENTCOM…Mattis is highly opinionated and believes only he knows the proper strategy. History shows us that some Generals have personalities which make them too difficult for the elected Civilian boss to deal with.
Well your explanation sound more like truth… sounds more like root of the problem than generic explanation that was presented to the media. I don’t know what the truth is when it comes to that, but I would take your version rather than official one.
So much about Opinionated Dog Mattis
I would say a general would have a better understanding regarding military matters than a community organizer. Obama abhorred the military and being a pompous self absorbed donkey he could not take a dissenting opinion.
In the future you can refer to my statements, I do not need to convince you.
“””The plain truth is, we do not know if Trump cares or “does not care” or if he is forced to change his mind, or he is blackmailed or pretending to be forced on such change of heart. Why don’t you qualify and declare you don’t know anything for sure, because you are like a blade of grass leaning in any the direction the wind is blowing. I speak from divine perspective……do you understand what that means? God sees the truth from all human BS, lies and deception and conveys it to His followers.
you’re not playing with a complete rational analysis.
What is not rational in my analysis?
You have a point here
If Assad again starts bombing YPG civilians with chemical weapons because they want freedom, we stay! No one should be in doubt about that.
Guys ,please , are you really believe , that Asad used chemical weapons under Russians present ?? You dont be naive ! All was Britain plot similar as in Iraq ! Result of this ? Around 1 milion victims , without evidence about chemical weapons ! In the Syria 7 years under false evidences !
Yes we know. While Tommy is a brainless turd…
Moron. Assad doesn’t gas those people who overwhelmingly support him.
American backed terroristic scum uses gas on children though. And you support it with lies and bullshit.
shut up stupid.
======================
On March 29, 2011 (less than two weeks into the fantasy “revolution”) over 6 million people across Syria took to the streets in support of President al-Assad. In June, a reported hundreds of thousands marched in Damascus in support of the president, with a 2.3 km long Syrian flag. In November, 2011 (9 months into the chaos), masses again held demonstrations supporting President al-Assad, notably in Homs (the so-called “capital of the ‘revolution'”), Dara’a (the so-called “birthplace of the ‘revolution'”), Deir ez-Zour, Raqqa, Latakia, and Damascus.
Mass demonstrations like this have occurred repeatedly since, including in March 2012, in May 2014 in the lead-up to Presidential elections, and in June 2015, to note just some of the larger rallies.
In May 2013, it was reported that even NATO recognized the Syrian president’s increased popularity. “The data, relayed to NATO over the last month, asserted that 70 percent of Syrians support” the Assad government. At present, the number is now at least 80 percent.
The most telling barometer of Assad’s support base was the Presidential elections in June 2014, which saw 74 percent (11.6 million) of 15.8 million registered Syrian voters vote, with President al-Assad winning 88 percent of the votes. The lengths Syrians outside of Syria went to in order to vote included flooding the Syrian embassy in Beirut for two full days (and walking several kilometres to get there) and flying from countries with closed Syrian embassies to Damascus airport simply to cast their votes. Within Syria, Syrians braved terrorist mortars and rockets designed to keep them from voting; 151 shells were fired on Damascus alone, killing 5 and maiming 33 Syrians. ”
“Candidate Party Votes % Bashar al-Assad Ba’ath Party 10,319,723 – 88.7% Hassan al-Nouri NIACS 500,279 -4.3% Maher Hajjar Independent 372,301- 3.2% Invalid/blank votes 442,108 -3.8% Total 11,634,412 100 Registered votes/turnout 15,845,575 73.42 Source: SANA, SANA ————-
NEXT FACT that 30 nations oversaw and concluded the election was free and fair…
“An international delegation from more than 30 countries including Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, India, Iran, Iraq, Nicaragua, Russia, South Africa and Venezuela[12][13] issued a statement claiming the election was “free, fair and transparent”.[14]”
NEXT fact Assads OPPONENET in that election also declared the elections free and fair…
“Hassan al-Nouri – held a press conference at the Damascus Sheraton Hotel where he congratulated President Assad for “winning confidence of the Syrian people through winning the presidential elections.” Nouri also claimed that the electoral process had been clear and transparent to the entire world, adding that both he and his representatives had inspected the vote counting. ” =================================
‘YPG civillians’ – guess what, the YPG is a armed milita. Their membership is comprised of an ethnic minority – Kurds – who largely originate from neighboring Turkey.
As for the US claims of chemical weapons in mid east – 16 years later the same charade is no more credible from Bolton than it ever was from Powell.
Inherently a riskie move though if they leave their contact line thin . They can then be punched through, surrounded and fired on from all sides.
Again “IF” Kurds do not reach agreement with SAA and “IF” the US finds the way to re-mediate damaged relations with the Kurds they would be able to survive on the other side (Kurd side) of Euphrates under the NATO airplanes protection…..In longer run either way US presence is bound to dwindle and they will be forced to leave because in danger (like you have said already)
It makes plenty of “IF” in my comment but one can’t 100% be sure in anything in this situation
Another failed Zi0-AngloAmerican project in the Middle East.
failed? They have destroy most of ME and caused millions of dead’s and still do, so how you see it a failure? That was their planning all along destroy and conquer.
They managed to destroy and kill millions, I agree with that. But that was only a means to their overarching objective: to conquer. And that objective has been a complete failure.
Both of you are right, but now things have changed.
As long none is challenging them, their ability to cause death and destruction only increases and they just change tactics and attack or activate another war, in another location. They have created many fronts of this global war they brewing to happen and is their only chance in their mind to survive, so dont underestimate them and their utmost stupidity.
Although I agree with you in large part, it is important to note that as a direct result of the Neocon-Wahhabi-Zionist-Imperial Turkey assault on Syria, Syria has forged a Military strength that is capable of and will withstand anything BiBi+Bolton et al can muster extending to Syria’s reclamation of the Golan in due course.
yes they have and I agree, as long we speaking infantry. For the rest they relay heavily on russian good will and approval, for the time.
I agree with you, and I don’t underestimate them at all, I know they have not finished. All I am saying is that all their projects of conquest have failed so far.
they never planned on conquering, but controlling what they destroyed via puppet governments and corrupted politicians same as they do in europe and the colonies.
I don’t agree: the objective has always been control of petroleum resources. That is why the UK & US engineered a coup in Iran in 1953, thereby installing their puppet and keep oil from being nationalised, that is why the US used a false accusations to invade Iraq, to invade Afghanistan, destroy the Khadaffi regime, etc.
A geopolitical specialist ,Mearsheimer ,says just destroy and prevent rebuilding is enough. No need to conquer anymore. This is also what promitheas is saying. I strongly recommend you read some parts of his books on geopolitics. Very good reading.
Hey Bro Ma, I have stated explicitly that I agree with Promitheas. I have only been reacting to his his initial comment where he stated:
That was their planning all along destroy and conquer.
then later changed his mind that conquering was not the objective. I disagree: the objective is still very much to conquer, and that in order to control petroleum (mostly) and other resources.
I know of Mearsheimer, respect his work, but that does not mean he is right in everything he says just because he is Mearsheimer. If, as you say, he has stated that “just destroy and prevent rebuilding is enough” that is his opinion which I happen to disagree with.
I strongly recommend to do all your reading, whether work of Mearsheimer or others of a similar calibre, in a very critical fashion. Learn from them, yes, but don’t blindly absorb and regurgitate.
I never said I blindly follow Measheimer and i do read wildly. I took you for someone that had not read his books so just made a suggestion. I did not mean to come across as inflexible and dogmatic.
You obviously have and know about geopolitics ,so we are cool.
Thanks for clearing that up, at least there is no misunderstanding between us ;-)))
No probs friend.
The Zionist Kaplan plan after the 1973 war was to destroy any country that posed a challenge, Sadat sold out so Egypt was safe. However, after the fall of USSR, they accelerated their plans by using the dumbass Americunts who declared “end of history” and “full spectrum dominance” in their hubris since they saw no challenger. First Iraq was destroyed, then Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and final domino was Syria. However, by then natural resistance was building up and Iran had become too powerful to attack and Russia was not longer playing. Now the Americunts have real problem in the new Asia centric multi-polar world and growing collection of challengers at time Jew fanned wars are destroying bankrupt Americunts.
tax slaves can only be explored and is what they are doing all over western countries. But is all coming to a head slowly but surely so lets see what the finale will be.
You must have seen the British analysis today that the bankrupt Americunt economy will be smaller than India is a few years. Russia will remain # 5 and China # 1. India # 2
no I have not. It is few years I stop following what western so called economists are saying or care to waste more grey matter in their so called analysis. They always predict what already is done as though it happen sometimes in the future, so old news it is old news any way you take them.
Americans have been bankrupted back in 1923 and have remained bankrupted ever since and under military law that never been lifted after the crash. In any case this war is brewing it will not be economical but with guns and it will not be solved peacefully. The rest is just BS for human consumption and for people to be occupying what ever brain they have on trivial things, rather than what is destroy them.
As a bankrupt America is doing a lot better than Europe, Asia, Africa – and Promitheass Apollonious and his pal, Zionism Evil.
fu*k off idiot.
True. By attacking Iraq even those who welcomed the Amis then turned on the Yanks. Ie Sadr Shiite rebellion. Then the stupid Yanks cried “why don’t these people like us? “. Boo hoo.
Iraq war showed the Syrians and Iranians what would happen and both have done their best to prepare.
An Athenian general did the same to rebuild the walls of Athens. When peace did not work out the walls were up. Sparta lucked out. Same here; Iranians now too strong to be easy pickings .

It aint over until the fatboys go boom…
And the jew hating is ignorance. Problem isn’t Jews, problem is inequality allowing the rich to control everything about us.
Where you from, lets see what YOUR involvement has been.
Failed to control ME, trying to undertake a project with dwindling resources, relying on idiot proxies.
the plan was never to control ME, but create a never ending chaotic situation, that they control and that they have achieved. They been trying to control human population for not centuries but millenniums and have failed. the only way to control is to destroy the structure that make societies and this they achieved. Rainbow parades destruction of family and family business etc. and spiraling the globe into a never ending war where eventually war industries and energy industries hold the upper hand over every one else.
Remember the 3 element you need to control to control humanity.
ENERGY – FOOD & WATER. What ever they can not control they destroy.
You are giving excessive undeserving credit to jews, while making the gentiles some form of retarded specie. Israel is not self sufficient in energy, nor food, nor water.
Exactly why the newfound Hydrocarbons in E.Med are so important to them as is control of the Euphrates River. With the river they get water, growing of food and even electricity if a puppet government of Trans Euphrates sends them some.
I am impressed.
You wrote the three lines of text containing more truth than most of what’s being written by ages.
thanks.
I suppose it was Jews who wrote the (really silly) Koran and created all the foolish disagreements between the Shia and the Sunni!
Face Mecca when you spew your insane garbage.
been a hasbara retard is kind of obvious from your posts. And what the jews and koran have to do with what I posted, shit4brains?
Yes, Balkanization…
Back in 2001 some conspiracy theorists argued that an undeclared war against terrorism is an utopia and can’t be won.
Thats why it was declared. Because it cant be won.
lol on law not on TV
it’s hard to win a war when both the fighting sides are directed by the same unified “command”
Most do not understand the power of usury. Or the reality of globalism.
It can easily be won, when the time is appropriate. In the meantime, it is an easy war to continue,.Just send in some fanatics with a prejudice.
When you say conspiracy theorists, do you mean the mental midgets who think science was shut off on 9/11, so 19 Muslims with box cutters could use 2 planes flying way above capabilities, to take 3 buildings down through the path of most resistance?
not the sharpest tool in the shed, but assorted with the rest
NO, it is called Balkanization…
I do not see any Balkanization, territorial integrity remained almost the same, the Syrian matter will be resolved without any territorial loss and return to status of how things were before 2011.
right, because Russia intervened. Had not been for Russia, Syria would be Iraq or Libya right now.
Correct. Most people think to win you need to conquer. No. All you need to do is destroy and then restrict options of rebuilding the country. If FUKUTRIS keeps Trans -Euphrates then most productive water, oil and electricity will stay in Turk and US hands thus choking Syria in the long term.
Maybe the US is truly leaving Syria, but what about Iraq? They’re certainly not leaving there.
No I don’t think they will leave Iraq in the near future. Sadly Iraq is fully occupied by them and won’t be free of terrorism until the US leaves. Maybe Iraqis should expell FUKUS by bombing some of their bases like the attacks in beirut in 1983

Imagine Ryan Dillon’s face after that ;D
lol
situation much less complicated than what the harebrained maniacs make them into – at the end of the day, turkey will have left syria and the north east is back in the syrian fold and the kurds leaseholders along the borders. the most moronic states will withdraw into iraq and that is that – the moronic states interest is close to zip except that israel (soon to be a discontinued illegal state) warrants some concern but the readies flung far and wide by washington dc is no longer there and israel will, in the future, have to rely on its ability to pay its way and so far they haven’t paid one iota of the costs since 1918 (maybe they can make saudi prince mbs pay the israeli bill) and iran will continue to be a threat against the thieving and murdering israel but with the moronoc states almost bankrupt and russia holding the baton, israel better behave or else…. and how the world lets israel run a slow extermination camp a la theresienstadt is beyond the grasp of any reasonable mind!
I like the bit about Theresienstadt and Saud paying thee bill for Israel that can not survive without free money.
hairbrained… sorry for being pedantic.
I hope you are right about Israel.
TRUMP IS THE BOSS BOYZ COME HOME for the FUN 6 DAY WAR to bring DEMOCRACY to MEXICO and some JUSTICE to all the CITIZENS of the USA!!!
“Due to security concerns, the official would not describe exactly what the cargo was or whether it had been moved out by aircraft or ground vehicles.”……….172 ISIS vermin, 6 barrels of a Chloride and so on and so on.
… as for “The US would pursue the withdrawal of Iranian-backed forces from Syria and a political solution in Syria”; they never ever stop their ramblings, it drives me nuts.
Our Syrian force is minimal and of little strategic value in combat situations, so moving them out to Iraq or anywhere else is no big deal. We have a full-time Carrier Task-Force in the Mediterranean and several strategic air force bases in the neighborhood. Turkey’s NATO membership needs to be put under review as their continued war against the Kurds is unacceptable.
Never believe biggest liar Trump and Bolton clowns !
