The US-led coalition is still negotiating with the remaining ISIS fighters in the middle Euphrates River Valley, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed on February 9.
According to the UK-based monitoring group, the terrorist group’s leaders are still insisting that the coalition should allow them and their families to withdraw to a safe area. It remains unclear if this area will be located inside Syria or Iraq.
“The currently calmness was interrupted by several strikes by the coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in what appears to be an attempt to pressure the group [ISIS] into accepting any settlement,” the SHOR’s report reads.
ISIS fighters are currently besieged within a 4km2 pocket few kilometers away from the Iraqi border. Over the last two months, more than 3,400 terrorists fled the battlefield and surrendered to US-backed forces.
The governments of Syria and Iraq will not likely facilitate any deal between the US-led coalition and ISIS. This could force the coalition and its local proxies to launch a final attack on the ISIS-held pocket.
negotiating ? But……… have not trumpet said, he clean all the area within few 24 hours, whats the matter cold feet to kill their allies, or scared sh*tless to go in and dance with them??
Negotiations??? yeah let’s go with that rather than ever admit that they need a way out to get their fraud ISIS fighters redeployed elsewhere!
The US wants them to fight in Venezuela, but they want travel allowance.
