The situation in Manbij remains static. The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces are attempting to enter the city center amid counter-attacks of the ISIS terrorist group. Recently, ISIS militants regained some areas in and near Manbij, including the town of al-Khataf, east of the city.
This pushed the US-led coalition to intensify airstrikes in the area despite a high collateral damage that they inflict. The main areas, targeted by US air strikes are the southern grain complex, residential areas of the Hazawani heighborhood, and areas north of the southern Traffic Police Building at the M4 Highway.
