It appears that a US contractor is seeking Russian linguists to support US military’s “classified contingency operations” in Norway and Moldova. The positions are largely the same, as the one SF previously reported for Mykolaiv, Ukraine.

As previously noted, Mission Essential is a government contractor, which primarily serves intelligence and military clients. It began as the US government’s leading provider of translation and interpretation services.

The Norwegian/Russian linguist job advert is also posted on LinkedIn. Similarly, to the Ukrainian one it requires an individual that would assisting in classified contingency operations, while being able to fit in with the local populace and present oneself according to the local customs.

Unlike the Ukrainian linguist ad which required “Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information” security clearing, the Norwegian/Russian linguist posting requires SECRET clearing.

The Russian linguist posting for Moldova, will notably provide assistance to the US military in Georgia or Moldova. And also includes a higher security clearance, a “Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information.”

Other than that, the adverts are completely identical in their requirements, namely with the requirement to:

“Have the ability to serve in a combat zone if necessary.”

These postings come amid the US Marine Corps’ largest rotational deployment to Norway, which took began on October 1st. Furthermore, this apparent increase in “classified contingency operations,” comes following Trident Juncture 2018, which took place in Norway and was the biggest NATO and allied state military exercise in recent years.

Regarding Moldova, there were reports of the country becoming a foothold for the US military as of August 2017 and limited information since then. Back then, the US Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe Africa Southwest Asia (NAVFAC EURAFSWA) announced its plans to construct eight training facilities for military operations in urban terrain at the Bulboaca training base in Moldova. The fact that the US Navy Department is involved makes it likely that the facility will host American Marines. Up to August 2017, a total of $1.6 million has already been invested in the renovation of the Bulboaca base located near Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria or the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic.

Georgia also has a notable US military presence. On August 8th, 2018, the Noble Partner drill began, it is an annual two-week exercise, includes 1,170 troops and 140 vehicles deployed by U.S. Army Europe from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team. Georgia also hosts the Vaziani Military Base.

In all, these postings are not security breaches, similar to the Ukrainian advert. However they should that the fight against the “Russian aggression,” happens from every available and possible venue.

It looks like the US have decided – it’s war folks.

Another sign of war is American oil companies are liquidating their European and Central Asian assets.

mmm, not sure about that being the reason; BP is still there in force. I still think that this is a stupid Yank thing to stop the pipeline to Poland. But, hey, you could be right. Cheers.

The HMS Duncan propaganda documentary/propaganda is again being broadcast. I had to laugh again at the episode when Duncan was 30km from Crimea and being buzzed by Russian Aircraft. One of the kids in the command centre of the ship was warning the Russian Pilots not to get too close to the ‘very powerful ‘ radar.

The warnings were in English and got no response. Perhaps if the kid had shouted louder the Russian pilots would have understood :)

It works in mainland Europe etc:)

The crew had a hasty lunch whilst there was still a perceived threat :) and after that they all had a drug test and all pee samples were monitored in real time.:) The crew of course is diverse and trans gender

Never in a million years would I ever think that such bollocks would be ‘scripted’ propaganda :) The end of the documentary was ‘slaps on the backs’ all round for a professional job ‘well done’.

All that was missing was the Pantomime Horse.

LOL

1 anti-ship missile from one of the Russian batteries located on the Crimean coastline……would have sunk HMS Duncan. It seems very provocative sailing up to 30km away from Crimea!

Where should I hide?

Probably instead of “duck and cover”, stand on the table, a few drinks and laugh.

That’s my vibes, cheers mate

Yes, the military hires lots of translators. In fact, soldiers who can speak foreign languages get small pay bonuses. Spanish gets the smallest bonus (because there’s less demand and lots of people speak it), while things like Arabic, Chinese, and Russian get larger bonuses. As you see, there has recently been a shift in demand since 2014, and when a military that trains its own translators puts out this add you can see that the US in Europe feels the need for it. BTW, the identities of intelligence translators are strictly classified.

tudor miron can send application form :D

Sinbad2

You could apply for the dole?

Sinbad2

That would be a dangerous job, the Americans could lock you up as a spy if you upset a superior. Any Chinese or Russian person working for the US military, or in any technical field is very likely to be imprisoned for life on the whim of some American patriot.

RedBaron9495

Nah, Americans are cowards……they’ll probably get the locals to do their dirty work…..just like in Georgia & Ukraine!

occupybacon

Yeah, by the locals but with money and logistics from NATO, why should that place mean anything for America after all?
